Drinking only helps for the duration of the drinking and not at all the next day so I need to have more days AF.
Well done to everyone who is tracking and trying
You've made a start new me, now you can build on it. I felt much like you did last week but determined Monday would be a new start. Well done you for not putting it off to a new week.:)
Same with you Karen. Well done for starting on a Thursday, every day counts. As well as the alternative tipples that HB recommended I'd suggest some form of distraction. So either try to get out for a walk or a gym session or stay at home and have a pampering bath or even go to bed early. However you get through it, it'll be one marked up and it does get easier (promise;)).Honey_Bear wrote: »Hang on in there, Maman! The bells will sound muffled in a day or two and then you'll hardly notice them.
Thanks HB, much easier last night. I just needed to get back in the zone. Generally I can switch in and out but I think it was the unplanned days that threw me a bit.
That's interesting about your friends. I like the idea that the people he told were trying to cut back as well. I think those that try to talk you into a drink/make you feel bad probably do it to cover up the fact that they know they should be cutting down too.
Definitely no drinking tonight.
4 AFDs please Shaggy
(and well done on the CFDs!:T).0 -
Morning :hello:
1 more AFD for yesterday. And 12 CFDs
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Not been on here for a good while! The alcohol consumption gone mad and I am putting on unwanted weight so thought I would try to get some control again.
Could do with some good tips on getting through a night without alcohol tonight as a start.
I know Sep well underway but can I start with a gentle aim of 7AF days for the month thanks Shaggy. You're on the list and Good Luck!

Morning all, well in fact last night I didn't have an AFD - in fact I probably called it too hastily as I had a third of a bottle of wine in the fridge and it was too nice to stick in the freezer for cooking purposes. But today will be 3/15. I'm a little bit behind my normal schedule so I have to be focussed from now on.0

I have found the Sainsburys alcohol free sparkling wine is the nicest. Their rose was OK but their white/red don't get good reviews so I haven't tried themWhat goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -

I must admit, part of me was thinking that it's almost the weekend .... may as well have some wine tonight ..... but Monday is the 12th, and I would be very unhappy to only have 1AFD by the 12th, and on a Monday too.
Green Karen no tips for wine, any I've tried is horrible, although I'm still looking. Next to try is Sainsburys AF bubbly. Zero sugar firey ginger beer is my AF tipple, DH likes Becks Blue beer.0 -
Afternoon all, can't believe I've managed 8/30 AF days so far in September, I think it's because I'm doing it for charity I'm not tempted and others haven't been trying to persuade me to 'be sociable' Really wish somebody would make a AF wine though that tasted like wine, a gap in the market surely for somebody who knew what they were doing!DF by Christmas 2014 #78 £18,964.15/£15,000

Have you tried the Sainsburys sparkling AF wine Sandypan? It looks like Prosecco, smells like wine and doesn't taste too bad at all. What goes around comes around.....I hope!0
