I know I do have days where I over do it and drink 4 glasses of wine, when I should have stopped at 2, but i'm not as concerned about myself as I was 3-4 years ago. I look back at that time and can see how far I have come. When stressful things happen I am 50% likely to reach for a glass, before it was 100%.

So quite a massive turnaround there, CuppaTea. I hope the tests give you the answers you're looking for and you turn the corner really soon.

    Happy holiday hunting, ManPants.

    Morning everyone

I nearly cracked yesterday after a carp day and a row with DH, but settled for a huge cup of Earl Grey tea...Oh, and a whole "sharing" bag of crisps...

Not just me that does that then ....

Tried Becks Blue for the first time last night, it's not bad and kept me off the wine! Feel a bit ugg this morning hope it's not the AF beer! That would be annoying if it doesn't agree with me just when I thought I'd found it.

It's probably not the BB. Two years after stopping drinking I know there is something still not quite right. I have a horrible feeling I've already identified it and didn't like the answer, so I've been ignoring it and carrying on eating it. The inevitable result is that I still feel a bit crap most of the time but it's defo not the B***s B**e that causes the lack of energy. What I really don't understand is how I kept going as long as I did when I was boozing. Now that's a real mystery - this is a walk in the park in comparison.

    4/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

3/15 for last night please Shaggy

Tonight will be the test for me as I don't normally drink Mon/Tues/Weds but Thursday is the day I usually succumb - but not tonight (she says with her fingers crossed for luck ;))

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I still felt better than I do after alcohol, so I'll be sticking with it.

What other soft drinks does everyone have instead of their normal tipple? Water/juice doesn't seem to cut it for me, I just feel I'm missing out :(

    Hi all

I'm still here but have messed up really for July. I've managed to drink 'sensibly' at my OH's 50th, but am 'compensating' by getting drunk at home in private. Struggling with a solution - going A/F lasted about a week ..

Need to regroup but not up to setting targets at the mo. Hope everyone is well and doing ok xx

I struggle with this too New Me - I don't like anything too sweet - I quite like the San Pellegrino Lemon (which is unfortunately a bit heavy on the calories ) but have also recently discovered Schweppes Sparkling Orange & Cranberry or Grapefruit & Blood Orange which are a bit lighter (I think they also do a Lemon & Elderflower version but I haven't tried that one yet)

Still haven't managed to find a AF wine that tastes halfway decent but I will keep looking ;)
