My skin seems to be better as well, the horrendous wrinkles under my eyes have nearly gone I would never have said they were a result of my wine.
I'm sure cutting back is doing you good but your skin is probably benefitting from better hydration if you're replacing the alcohol with water. Well done!:T0 -
Nice one, Dizzy, pouring the wine away.

Good morning everyone,
21 AFD for me.
Am I allowed to say that I think this abstinence business is becoming slightly easier. I say this, because I have put in place a methodology which helps, for example no or little social life:rotfl:.
Seriously, I prefer the way I feel both mentally and physically - long may it continue!
I wonder how much money I have saved by not spending so much on booze? Perhaps I should use some of it to have a little treat. I was thinking a pedicure or massage. A plan is hatching, I have never been very good at treating myself, but this in theory would be coming from money I would have used previously for something else.
Maman - I think that we have a lot in common in terms of how we manage our lifestyles regarding weight loss and booze. I shall keep you in mind as I do admire how long you have kept within your target(s).
For those of you who are struggling, ((hugs)).

Thank you for your kind words arkers. You're right it does get easier with time. It was definitely a case of finding a happy medium what would fit with RL. My aim as far as cutting down was concerned was to become a 'normal' social drinker which is basically not to drink on an ordinary weekday evening at home and determined not to play catch up at weekends and drink to excess. I was even stricter when I was getting to my weightloss target but now I relax a bit and have the odd glass midweek but only if I'm out for a meal or meeting friends.
I'd recommend Groupon for a pampering treatment. Very mse:money:
No drinking planned today.
8 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -
7 for me please
Arkers I agree I see maman as a role model for how I would like to drink. For all the times I have come in here vowed the world then left again maman has always stuck with her resolve. I know drinking everyday was just a habit for me and I really havent missed it although I am also following your strategy of no social life lol. That will come back Im sure but right now I quite like being selfish and protect my decision.
Tonight may be a drinking night and if it is Im ok with that back to it tomorrow0
