The Giving Up/ Cutting Down alcohol support thread - number 13

Hi everyone. I used to post on these forums a lot, quite a few years ago but took my eye off the ball a little bit. I'd like to come back and focus on the lard, and the beer, and the exercise....I found it very helpful at the time.
Hope everyone is ok?
My username and passwords are lost in the mists of time so I've had to re-register. Probably best, as god knows how many drunken ramblings I would resurrect if I looked at my posting history.
Hope this doesn't break any forum rules.
I'm actually going to try an be uber-focused for the next 100 days (seems like a nice round number). I'm not going to go off booze 100% in some puritanical self denial episode...I work full time, it's summer time and I don't really have any other vices...and I like a beer. But it won't hurt to cut down. And in the past when I've cut it down, it's had a massive effect on my lardcount.0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
12 AFD for last night please
I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine? I thought after yesterdays episode I'd have the pinot out of the bottle quicker then ever, however after thinking things through I decided better of it. I am hoping the same will happen tonight, but I haven't made a decision yet.
Welcome Chad, several of us one here have various reasons for cutting out/down one of the main reasons for me is weight loss, but I also feel so much better when I decide to drink rather then the habitual regularity of opening a bottle everyday.
Touch base with you all soon.

Well after posting yesterdays message, I went out and had Italian food and beer with Mrs Sexington. This was already planned, and it was awesome.0

NewMe, the month is not over yet!
I confess to drinking too much yesterday and today, or at least to losing track of what I was drinking, though I woke up this morning without a hangover,so that at least is good Sigh.0 -
Don't beat yourselves up New Me and CathyBird - there's plenty of time left to rack up the numbers. Because you've posted the drinking isn't mindless, so that's a positive, too.I hope no one minds my posting what I drink on my non-AFDs? ... It's in the interests of accountability - if I know I'm going to tell you good people what I've drunk, I'm more restrained than I otherwise would be. It's also in the interests of noting if it goes up or down over time. Since I started posting on this thread it has noticeably dropped. Which is obviously good!
Don't mind a bit, CathyBird. If it helps you cut down that's what it's all about.
Welcome back Chad. There are quite a few of us who are [STRIKE]working[/STRIKE] attempting to work on our lardy bits. [/QUOTE]
