Well once I work out how to clone myself I'll let you all fight amongst yourselves for the clone. :)

As you can see, it's 5am and I'm up. Have been for an hour. I've managed to reach that annoying plateau of tiredness where you're too tired to sleep properly. :rotfl: Fortunately, I have absolutely nothing to do tomorrow... well today... so hopefully it won't matter too much. :)

Horrible being that tired, hope it contines to improve.

Had a better night since then, although back to being tired today because it was my wife's outpatient appointment so we had to get up early.

They've referred her for an MRI scan on her knee and told her to continue to keep the weight off the knee, keep it elevated etc. until they have the scan results and can see how best to proceed going forward with physio.

They're estimating 4-5 weeks before her wrist is healed.

We've been given another appointment for two weeks time and obviously have to wait for the appointment for her MRI to come through but I was told that we shouldn't have to wait long for it as with knee dislocations they're quick to get tests done so they can check on any potential weakening of the knee joint... of course, this didn't make my wife a happy bunny when she heard that.

And of course if you "accentuate the positive", she'll part your hair with a crutch.

You can't win. So make sure there are others to cop some of the flak & make sure *you* are the one who brings in food & drink. (Pavlovian conditioning!)

I'm presuming you've figured out how-to for additional elevation? Although maybe still working on the whole not-able-to-do-X-for-myself?

All her knowledge will weigh heavy, so keep the JD & hugs coming - and when she's done feeling gruesome, with luck she'll remember the hugs.

You both need to eat, drink, bathe & sleep regularly. Not easy, but if you try benevolent despot with food & drink, all being well you can both sleep better?

Thank you for keeping us posted & wishing you both a good nights rest if not real healing sleep tonight!

Well we've both had a good laugh today courtesy of David Cameron.

Thanks to his crusade against naughtiness on the Internet he's managed to get my employer's various websites blocked, including the web based email client that our employees use pretty much every day.

Why? Who knows... we're a security company, not a pornographer.

But it's pretty funny nonetheless! :D

Your wife will soon be better Tropez - I find that those with a medical background always make the worst patients as they can be as grumpy and as ungrateful as hell. Just make sure that you are not always in the firing line yet be on hand to provide hugs and sustenance.

Hopefully she has lots to read which will keep her out of mischief:D

    Evening!
    How are you both?
Anyone throwing things yet? (And hitting?)
    Emptied the JD?
Hoping you are both "as well as can be expected" or better - offer of mass murder (in kindle form) stands.

No throwing things though she was in a mood with me for most of Sunday.

A while back I enrolled on a creative writing course because I keep saying I have a novel (or six) in me but as I haven't done any writing since high school and I'm also not the most motivated person I figured enrolling on a course might actually get me started.

Anyway, met a few people through this course and Sunday one of them phoned me up to discuss some course related stuff. Apparently my wife wasn't happy that I was on the phone for an hour with another woman. She's never cared before about who I talk to on the phone so I'm putting it down to her current predicament.

That seems to have blown over now though :)

Remind your wife that some people are female so it is likely you will encounter some of them along the way?

And that you chose her because she is so different to the others with whom you really never considered commitment?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Has she been watching Coronation Street? :p She's probably thinking about Steve McDonald and his college course female friend! :rotfl:

I'm just wondering if she was expecting something to happen / some of your attention during that hour? I get a bit miffed if DH is on the phone for ages when we are about to eat / go out / sort something else out ...

although to be fair it's rarely another women he's talking to!
