Nice one re the holiday work. That means that all of that money can go towards debt repayments, or house repairs, or a bit of both.

    Trying to be positive:

School finished last Wednesday and I started my Summer job on Friday. (Spent 5 days on a residential activity centre in Wales to kick off the Summer). In total for the whole Summer that should be an extra £1000-ish towards my debt. I’m hoping to clear the HSBC credit card with that. Then that will be the first one gone (after the small store card).

I went for an induction at my new school on Wednesday. It’s 12 miles closer, so 24 miles less a week, and 120 miles a week. Which in my small car is half a tank of petrol. I’m hoping my petrol costs are halved (currently spend £160 a month on petrol).

I’m getting itchy feet living at my Mum’s. Seeing my Sister in my house makes me a little bit resentful. I want my home back, I think. Or I’m not sure if it’s just the want for ANY home.

I’m struggling with motivation for eBay. But I need to do it for many reasons. Obviously money, but I need to get rid of stuff and declutter my life too!

I’ve been spending a lot of time sorting the garage out where the cats are living. The first coat of render didn’t look great. So I had to do it again. Now it looks pretty flat. I have sealed it and can paint it in a month. A job for later in the holidays.

I got a job with Lionbridge but I can’t see it being beneficial to time per hour at the moment. Maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Matched betting total is up to £162. I need to put some effort into this, but it’s having the float available and I don’t tend to have that luxury from the middle of the month onwards!

My aim is for the days when I’m not working with my summer job, that I make £50 a day. It’s a massive target but even if I only achieve half the daily goal, it’ll amount to a lot! I have no excuse with so much stuff to sort, sell etc. Fingers crossed.

I'm off to do some Matched Betting, then continue sorting the loft in my house.

    Okay... here goes:

Day 1 (yesterday) - made £37.29 via matched betting

Today I went to a car boot sale & picked up some treasures to sell on eBay. Let's hope my scavenger skills are what they were circa 3-5 years ago when I was making decent money doing it! :)

Have some matched betting to do later too. So hopefully won't end the day on a zero balance.

Found out my car insurance renewed today - luckily. Hadn't changed my address from ex's so the renewal must have gone there. Changed my address and renewal went from £304 to £800. *cries*

Did a bit of shopping around this morning and got it down to £260 via comparethemarket. Also have a Baby Oleg toy coming my way! Which will go to my Mum for her birthday as she loves meerkats. Win and Win.

Good for you Dearlouise, you sound like you're doing well and are on the right path! I find the same with matched betting, I never have enough to leave in the float so can't really get a good go at it.

Well done on the car insurance, thats a massive reduction from the £800 renewal!

Fingers crossed with the ebaying skills, hope you get some sales.
