iphone 4s wifi problems after ios7

That's because you have a 1 year warranty. Some manufacturers have two year warranty's, Apple have one, hence the payment request.0 -
I have been battling EE with the same problem for the last few weeks. The wifi stopped working 2 days after the 1 year warranty expired. I am on 24 month contract.
Today I received a letter from EE following my recent letter to them quoting the Sale of Goods Act, the EU directive and various pieces of this thread.
They state that due to the following 2 reasons, they will not repair or provide a replacement for free.
* If a customer has had the phone for over 12 months, it is the customer`s responsibility to prove to EE that the fault is inherent from point of manufacture
* A letter from a manufacturer- such as Apple Genius Bar is NOT sufficient to prove to EE that the fault is inherent.
In my case, the fault appears to have occurred following the IOS 7 update, also, if EE will not accept evidence of such from the manufacturer, how can the consumer prove the fault exists?
Any help appreciated with this. Thanks.
Take them to Small Claims Court. It's highly likely the judge would take your side as you've an engineer's report from Apple. Sometimes companies like EE deserve to be taken to court!0 -
same issue i've had. its happening to thousands. i'm thinking of hair drying this phone to reset the wifi chip, thats your only option without paying! and i don't know if its a long term fix.

Hi
I'm having the same problem, its a disgrace that Apple or your network provider / point of sale won't do anything for the thousands that are affected.
Having had discussions with Apple and Vodaphone, I was advised to take to vodaphone store to send off for repair. I had to sign that I accept the £150 charge if its chargeable otherwise they would not send off. It completely stinks the way we are are been treat, through no fault of our own we now have a device that is not fit for purpose.
Has anyone got a reduction in linerental as we are stuck in a contract and a useless phone.0 -
I had the same problem with my sons phone..
I called Vodafone last month - the guy arranged a padded bag to be sent to my house.. I bagged it up & sent it away..
They called me to say it wasn't covered & I would have to pay..
I declined their offer & they sent it back to me..
I ran the updates & it worked...
I don't know if it was luck, factory reset or the updates - but it works now...0 -

You don't have to buy a new phone. You've consumer rights.
If you believe the fault was inherent (as in the phone wasn't abused) at the time of purchase then contact the retailer under Sale of Goods Act. You may have to provide an independent engineer's report stating this.
