  • I think this is a wonderful idea!
Just what I need to try and keep me motivated and getting things more in order. Clutter and mess in my house has been depressing me for months now but I never seem to make a dent! (Having Fibromyalgia and a 5 month old - as well as a 5 year old with Autism - doesn't help much either  )

    Dusty - That's awful news. :(

did anyone else's mum make them wear a second pair of pants over the tights to help them stay up :o:rotfl:

I did this throughout secondary school, black 70+ denier tights & gym knickers over the top under my school skirt :rotfl: I was even known to wear more than one pair of tights on occasion! I think at one point a few of us even did socks with tights over them to keep our feet warmer :rotfl:

Well all was going well here until I got a text from DD at 3.05 asking me to meet her at the bus stop so I could take her to the walk-in centre (thankfully right next to the bus stop!). First day back and she has only gone and sprained/strained her right ankle so is hobbling around in a tubie grip (sp?) and told no PE for at least a week until its improved :wall: So writing a note for that is added to the list for tomorrow as I prefer to type notes like that out as my handwriting can be awful and I don't want there to be any confusion ;)

Since I got back I've made tea, finished all but 2 wash loads (which I'll do tomorrow), helped DD with her homework, washed up, and actually took a HHme time reading a magazine while DD was using my laptop to do something she couldn't do on hers :D

DD also surprised me when we finally got home. On the last day of term before Christmas she brought her friend home to 'hang out' for a bit as it was only half day in school and their other plans had fallen through. I'd already told her this was fine as I'd rather they were here than hanging around the streets bored. Well today, the same friend gave DD a bar of chocolate to give to me as a "thank you for being kind" because I let her come round! I'm speechless. The fact that she walked in the house, looked at the Christmas decorations then went up to DDs room with her only to appear 2 hours later to get the bus home and said thank you then was more than enough :rotfl: It really did surprise me, but then she is a really lovely well mannered girl based on how she was at parents evening. I'm glad DD has a friend like that, it makes a change from her usual crowd ;):rotfl::rotfl:

So I'm just going to update my list before I go and climb into bed. I'm worn out today. If its gone its done or not applicable! :p

You are invited to a Flylady meet
on Sunday 2nd February .... ... a Flylady meet in Birmingham in March ....

    :sad face:

Seriously rushed off my feet and unable to keep up wiv Fred at the moment, but having got as far as lovely Ionafan's proposed Flylady meetings post, I just know I can't get oop norf to make either of them, darn it.

Christmas decs and trees down, Twelfth Night celebrated, Epiphany marked, OH's actual birthday celebrated, champers quaffed, time passed with a friend in remission following his nth monthly check up, another friend declared a cancer free zone again *relief* after Christmas and New Year spent in fear, cuz in USA presenting new scenario demanding time & money ....

2014 is already proving a challenge despite all of my best intentions ....

I'll be back, having caught up with Fred, as soon as I can, but it may be some time. (House unbelievbly clean and tidy despite everything, thanks to Natty and Dusty's weekly chivvying.)

    Soz for long post.
    Better is good enough.

    Hello everyone :]

Dusty - what sad news :[
Natty - thanks for the list :]
Bossy - lovely pic of DD, isn't she growing up :]
Frodders - hugs and go see the Doc

I'm coming back. I want the world to know, got to let it show!!

I'm completely fed up with the horrendous mess we are living in, its untidy and now its starting to become dirty, its got to stop, along with my utter laziness!!

Its been a tough few months here and those months will continue, DH isn't back at work and isn't likely to be for some time yet so I need to try and do what I can when I can and not sit on my jacksy looking at the mess. Even the kids are starting to moan about it, I really need to knuckle down, I've no excuse for not getting it done

Anyway, moan over and done with, I'm not working to the list but I will be taking one area every day [or 2 if its really bad] and giving it a thoroughly good going over, from ceiling to floor, so tomorrow its hall and stairs and possibly the bathroom

Happy New Year wishes to everyone
Projects made for craft fair - 40 :)
    1st fair on 13/4/14 :j

Morning all. Another one here who had knickers over tights as a teen.

Right, going to catch up with yesterday's list in downstairs loo only and I need to do some ironing, although I may take a lunch break today to do that.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning all.

Will catch up on flying when I get in from my voluntary job. Early start on a Tuesday.

Still having problems with a mobile phone company. Eight live chats and seven phone calls later. Supposedly to be resolved today.

    Cat stuff done.

Hugs sticks and spoons where needed.
