Gosh you flyladies can't half talk! ;)

At work and school today, have managed to get through the list on my return though as well as WM x 1 and DW x 1 too. HHI last night emptied the basket for now... Substitute for the lasagne I was planning to make as when I went to get mince from the fridge it appeared to have turned :/

Dusty, awful news to start the term - here's hoping it's all much better from herein

Housekeeping-wise, I paid £20 per week, 11 years ago! My (younger) sister was sly and paid £80 per month!

Now, I should really go and do my prep for tomorrow...just to drag myself from the sofa!!
Happiness is not getting what you want - it's wanting what you have :D

Thank you I will pop to the shops in the morning buy some fresh bleach and try that.

I have just squeezed the offending bleach and it is clear so I used the last of it on the toilet.

Only thing I can think has happened is OH has not rised the suds of the dog medicated shampoo which may shock you all to learn is red!

Actually it might just be the shampoo that's done it.

    Dusty how very sad :(

Bossy I have had my daughter come home in different tights her and a tiny dot of a girl decided to swap lol this girl wears 2-3 tight my DD wears 5-6 haha the other girls mother hadn't even noticed!

I haven't stopped all day and not sure how I've managed it as I got up at 4:11 am. House is looking much better and I'm concentrating on boys room tomorrow as new furniture is coming. Eldest off school but not sure what problem is As he was sick Saturday night but not since and complains his front hurts and can't eat much
Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T
  • I've tried Flylady once or twice before & love it when I stick with it so I'm determined to do it in 2014! I work full time & have a 2 year old so house cleaning is my lowest priority but whenever I visit my parents' immaculate house at Christmas I get inspired!

    Today I:

Cleaned the sink, bath &, toilet - this took a good 30 minutes as they were grim!
Decluttered the manky bathroom floor - luckily only a rusty razer & a piece of loo roll behind the toilet so only 2 seconds!

Luckily in a New Years frenzy I'd cleaned the windowsill & chucked any empties yesterday so I can tick this off too!

    :D

We don't get on with tights - the ones long enough have too big feet and the heels are up round her ankles :o but she has black leggings and socks to a similar effect. She finds it much easier to pull these up too, so the gusset doesn't end up down by her knees. Lol, did anyone else's mum make them wear a second pair of pants over the tights to help them stay up :o:rotfl:

Forgot to mention, I am finally unencumbered of tax credits :T I called them today with our childcare cost reduction and told them I didn't think I was eligible anymore. They will just wrap me up with a renewal later in the year, but no more calling them every blinkin time something changes. Hurrah!

  • Hi everyone, sorry too tired to read through properly. Bossy your little girl looks so pleased with herself! Isnt she cute.

So, have done 4 hrs at paid job #1 and 2.5hrs at paid job #2.
Made stew and dumplings for tea and cleared up properly (OH helped)
Two loads of washing done, both airers full
45 minutes of bathroom cleaning done, even cleaned the window - I dont look behind the venetian blind very often!

Will empty the dishwasher in the morning. Have just done a sweep around the living room to tidy it before bed.

Lozzy, bleach shifts everything so I am sure you will be fine. Get some Domestos to be on the safe side rather than the cheap stuff.

Christmas decs almost packed away. LR all dusted.

Thank you for your kind words. My boys are fine, neither know the poor boy concerned. They were most touched by how upset their teachers are.

    Welcome to all newbies.

    Monday ~ Bathroom Mayhem..
    15 minutes...

    30 minutes to spare...
    Wash the window

    Got an hour...

    Extras
Empty and clean out the bin
    Polish the mirrors
Declutter the desk.. make it shine!
Delete 50 unwanted emails from your inbox!

Evening all. Will read back the thread in a minute. Hope everyone is ok x

If it's deleted off my list,it's done.

I also spent over an hour in the teens bedroom today. It still needs sorting, but I've made it look tidy & fairly presentable.

Also been to the gp surgery twice today. For me & then after school for my dd.

Husband still at home as he's ill. He's also home tomorrow. So as he's working from home, I can't really do the living room/dining room (through room) as that's where he's working. If that's the room for tomorrow then I shall concentrate on my bedroom & ds1 bedroom.

    Love, hugs & spoons all

    xxx
