  • Oh wow. I am new to MSE this New Year. I am sure that doesn't bode well for my longevity but I genuinely hope I buck the trend I am expecting! I love this board and have looked at a few other threads. Been lurking here because I am rubbish at housework. But I've gone for it tonight and I've just cleaned the bathroom. I've cleaned the windowsill. OMG! Thank you x

I am rather annoyed my OH has just bathed the dogs and then 'cleaned' the bath he has used neat bleach which he said came out red and now my bath is very obviously stained.

Is it normal for bleach to turn red? Its less then 2 months old but it has been opened, I never normally use neat bleach on anything but its always looked clear to me...... Oh bum fluff the landlord will be over the moon when he eventually finds out I am sure.

I'm in in spirit. If DS doesn't stop creating carp I will be in the clink for having done him in;)

I have washed up; dried up and put away.

    Hi all

Welcome newbies and hello to the lurkers

Just remember the lists are a guide not a must do ;)

Dusty such unbelievably sad news. Hope your boys are ok and my heart goes out to all those affected.
Bossy Miss Moo looked lovely & smart in her nursery uniform

Dad has been round as my sun room roof leak is now coming through into the kitchen :(

Does anyone know if the council will collect a xmas tree that has been dumped between mine and next door? TBH I think the bin men dumped it there as it appeared after they'd emptied the bins. It's not next door's BTW as I knocked and asked them, they thought it was mine. I already do a weekly litter pick out there but a whole christmas tree is just taking the p!ss.

    Flying wise:

Veggie lasagne & pasta bake batch cooked
    Kitchen cleaned
    DW on
    Kitchen floor swept

Will actually do something from the list in a bit. Was playing catch up at the paid stuff due to being off sick thurs/fri last week.

    Deco x

green lady never heard of bleach going red - either try some new fresh bleach or something like mould or limescale remover or bar keepers friend powder - i would put some of that on a damp body scrubber and try working that into it

They didn't return her birth certificate either :o poor granny has a list of items to recover in the morning. She is in charge as I'm leaving for work at 6am

Kitchen tidied / WUP done. Had a bath and washed my hair. Work and school stuff out for morning. Once again I wish for a decent nights sleep. Can you do controlled crying on a toddler? Really should have sorted this whilst none of us had to get up the next morning  I'm so tired that when she comes in I don't have the energy to take her back to her own room :(
    Must. Sort. It. Out.
