Hope you're feeling a bit better Rach.

The great thing about here is supporting each other and sticking together - bit like a marriage really - in sickness and in health, for richer and poorer :rotfl: Except divorcing the debt :D Ahh, 5 months after starting my diary and a decent debt diary title finally springs to mind :rotfl:

Gotta love the old computers and a great idea to have as a back up.

Hope you can get a more restful weekend. :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18
  • Hi all!

Payday!! However, all money accounted for this coming month...

Have booked Cornwall with mum, sister, granny and all the kids... can't wait..let the madness begin:eek::rotfl:
Paying half for chalet and petrol with mum..it's gone up this year :( so about £170 for chalet and £70 petrol...not bad for a family for a week. Totally frugal food spends and will just be running about on the beach.

Going on Sat so got to get dodgy car looked at  more money!! Will phone garage today. Loads to do. Will check in later xxx

    RR x

Ps I won't be doing the running , although I should make the effort!

  • Oh I can't wait for a change of scenery :D if I stay at home I have to entertain bored children and look at all the jobs that need doing

Well didn't phone garage (no time) will do today. That will involve immense juggling and manic organisation if it's at all possible. I'm sure car will break down on journey though

    Wish me luck!

Good luck! I hope the car behaves. There's nothing like a change of scenery to rejuvenate.

  • I'm so seriously jealous. Based on books read etc I have always wanted to visit Cornwall. I'd have to fly, get a hire car and drive it on strange roads which would freak me out so much, it wouldn't be any kind of a holiday. I want a full report when you've been.
Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Progress not perfection.:T100%through my 1% mortgage challenge. 100% through my pb challenge.
  • I will INOD...promise

Well budget flying out of the window in all kinds of directions :eek::eek: So paid for holiday from this months money and not making any over payments on CCs.

Waiting to call garage (scared!!!) as that's more cash gone already!!!! Just be grateful if he doesn't say scrap it (like he usually does) and now (drum roll) DS gave me a letter about a school trip to Spain in Feb 2015......

I want him to go (this is gut reaction). He is doing Spanish GCSE which he doesn't find easy. I would rather slow down debt repayment to give him the opportunity. Bl**dy expensive though!. I will see if his dad can contribute but I'm sure that won't happen. So...need to put down a deposit THIS MONTH of £120! Well, April budget is game over :rotfl:

Since being on here I have become much better at understanding the value of money and not being wasteful. I think this is worth it so will scrimp in other areas instead.

I don't know what you think but since joining the forum just over a year ago I have been putting ON weight!!!! My theory is that I scoff food whenever I can (especially if it's free :rotfl:) due to fear of scarecity and will eat ANYTHING so I can save money :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Have developed an unhealthy addiction to sugar in the form of cakes and biscuits which was never so bad before!!!

Oh well, it may mean jogging for me in Cornwall after all :T
