Then going to gradually clear up this shameful looking house

Things always go to rats here the week before half term then I spend the week off putting it right:mad:I never learn! Although having had and unscheduled week working at home things are not looking too bad this time. Hope you have a restful time off:)

  • You are all :A :D

Got to see the dinosaur movie and it was GREAT. This is so not money saving but actually paid DS to take DD to the park!!!!! :o:o:rotfl:

She needs a run like a puppy and I needed to lie down!

House is still pretty vile but not under pressure as NO WORK! Did a bit of washing up, some washing and a casual sweep around the kitchen floor. Had a bath that actually lasted two hours and was cold after talking non stop to my sister on phone.

Skyped friend in UAE school. She is depressed. My other friend's mum is still quite critical in hospital so been chatting to her too.

Spur of the moment decided to drive to sister's tomorrow...petrol but DD loves to play with her cousins. Probably get more rest with her occupied. Also, another drama (I'm not sure I've mentioned?) needs sorting. This will sound ridiculous but it's true. My grandmother, who is 92, was and is continuing to be conned by unscrupulous characters who came into her life a few years ago and have ripped off loads of her money. She is now living with them on the IOW. It's a very very long story. My sister and I are continuing to work on it. They basically cut us off from her but we have managed to keep contact. Anyway need to be with sis to help write a letter. Maybe more of this another time! Better than Eastenders my life! :D

No major spends today.....a few odds and ends like milk from corner shop. Heating on a lot.

Take care all you lovely people xx

Off to dental hygienist today £40  but needed. Will feel all sensible and saintly after dealing with this :rotfl:

Had a good day at my sister's yesterday. Didn't manage a walk in the glorious sunshine. My DD had a brilliant time though playing on bikes and jumping on the trampoline :D

My DS went off to a 'youth group' with his best friend. They had a sleepover last night and are sprawled over my sofa and on the floor as I type :)

My sis is off to IOW today to continue the mission. I couldn't afford it and needed a break this holiday so haven't gone. We managed to write a really good letter together yesterday so fingers crossed. My granny is supposed to be staying in a rented holiday house with sis and her kids so hopefully it will be OK.

Going to try and start decluttering the bombsite which is my basement. Don't feel enthusiastic right now but hope this will pick up momentum as day goes on.

Missed roofer yesterday  Hopefully he'll come round today. Said it's the guttering  but that it will still cost around £400  Well better than 10,000!!!! Needs doing as when I empty bath water floods out! been like that for ages and just ignored it :o:o:o

Check in later....LOVING not being under pressure at work! :D:D:D
Got massage booked for Friday pm (GROUPON) and am trying to be positive and get better. (still have blinking sore throat etc...:(

    RR xxxx

PS Went to Morries with sis and bought a bargain plastic bin (as you do) and spent £44 (haven't been shopping for over 2 weeks ) got some great bargains including the cheapest savers cat food ever £2 for 6 tins! My sister thought I was being unfair to the cats but they have to get on this moneysaving tip too!

Hope you and your teeth are feeling all fresh and shiny a la smiley
    ---> :D

And hope you've not got lost down in the basement at this time of night

Glad you had a good day yesterday and hopefully a bit of space/time with your DS whilst the kids were otherwise occupied.

Sounds tricky with your Granny, hope your DS makes some headway this week.

Well done on the food shopping, that is really good. Agree on the pet food too, our doglets have been down shifted on brands for ages and their vet checks have been fine - they are both fit and healthy. They were eating luxury brands and probably better than us before :rotfl:

Make sure you pencil in some R&R for this week too and be fighting fit for next week. :)

  • Well woke up after only 4 hours sleep :( talking to mum and sis on phone re granny situation till about 2.30am  She has signed a load of papers over to the tune of 100,000 as a 'gift' to some scammers  I will be on GMTV soon so look out for me ( a joke but you never know!) It's the most frustrating thing in the world and has been going on for about 18 months......:(:(:(

Anyway got to get on otherwise would be freaked out with anger! We will see what news sis has today....

I went mental yesterday and cleared about 35 bags of pure junk out of basement!:T:T:T Sorted stuff so have realistic goodie bags for ebay/carboot. Just the best stuff. Calling rubbish clearance today. A spend but totally worth it as been meaning to do this for years. Was thinking of a skip originally but that would have been about £350  I reckon this will be about £80 (can't be more!) Was motivated by not putting xmas tree back till I'd done it :D

Things are moving on that's for sure.

Still no statements this month???? Also have been refunded my Groupon voucher for massage although no problem with money going through! I'm booked for Friday! I would be charged cancellation if I hadn't checked!!! Not fair  Am going to phone now.

A long time friend coming tonight for wine  if I keep awake that is :o
