Life and times of a debt busting mumma

Hey Rach - practise what your preach and look after yourself
Half term can't come quick enough, completely agree. The thought of no alarm clock for a whole 9 days is sheer bliss, even though I bet you still wake up fairly early (I know I do).
Aha - onto a list of things you could do to help reduce the CCs!
- Any outgoings still to check/compare/reduce?
- Get on that eBay/FB/Gumtree selling malarky!
- Surveys for points for gift vouchers? Help towards birthdays and Xmas
- Nectar - several ways to earn there and don't have to use for food shopping as points accepted for lots of places. Good for pressie, Xmas stuff.
- Zapper/Music Magpie and others - sell old CDs, books, DVDs, games
- Cash4clothes - 50-60p per kilo (if you want to get rid of stuff quick).
- Envirofone (or others) - sell old unwanted mobile phones.
- Any PPI you could claim on?
There's a starter for 10. Me, I'm hoping to be painting next week, ha, fat chance if I don't get sorted! Noted down H&B stuff for weekend shopping and seeing the Osteo on Monday morning.
All else fails - a lovely long week of fleecy PJs, hot water bottles and being horizontal I reckon :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Was thinking about how long it's going to take me to reduce these CCs  at least it has all stabilised and after a year they are coming down slowly. Don't have that much for overpayments as there is always something extra to pay for. Over half term I'm going to really crack on with thinking of everyway possible of reducing costs.....
Can feel so slooooow sometimes and don't want to wish life away to each payday!
Take care

Hello everyone  Thanks for popping by.....
On a course today. Hope I can keep eyes open :rotfl:
Not much to report really. On track this month (surprisingly) in bank account. Aim is to not use credit card. If I ever have to I pay that cost back immediately now and know that it's less 'debt' cleared so it motivates me to be strict!
Should be NSD as get sandwiches free for lunch.
Thanks Ali for money saving ideas...will defo tick these off in half term as already feeling :A after you helped me save this month on Sky and car insurance.....that's probably why I'm on track even though spends on Vits and headphones and groupon voucher (£20) :T
I have a £20 off voucher for a Waitrose first online shop which I will use in half term.....think I always used to throw these away????:o
I have a Rewards for Life £5.50 voucher so will use this when I need to buy more Vit C (no luxury stuff!)
Have a great day all....hope buddies suffering with their health today feel better :grouphug:

Hi Rach
Schools out! Yay! Happy Half Term Holiday :j:j:j
Well done on bank account, that's great news and definitely make good use of your vouchers.
When's your lovely massage? Soon I hope - a fab way to chill out.
Work at your pace through the money-saving and making ideas - each little bit adding up to make a cumulative difference. I've just requested my first cheque for £20.24 from Inbox Pounds - taken a month to accumulate, but it'll get thrown at the debt when it arrives. I LOVE free money!!
Keep chipping away - you're doing brilliantly :T:TBack on the DFW Wagon:

Thanks Ali as ever
Well those winds shook my house last night..scary
Presently having mileage monitor fitted to car for cheap insurance...actually found all documentation needed etc! They are very thorough testing this and that...felt like an exam  one window wouldn't go down and thought I'd failed! The lengths we go through to save money!
Am trying to sign my daughter up for Kids club cinema £1 a go on a Saturday so we can go and see 'Walking with Dinosaurs' today. May be booked already.
Then going to gradually clear up this shameful looking house
The last week at work knocked me for six as I was working with no energy. Will try my best to get my life sorted out a bit over next few days!!!!
Check in later
