For the past 25 years I have lived with the view of one of the highest mountains in the UK from my livingroom window and in those past 25 years have only been to its summit twice - and one of those occasions was by transport !! In the preceding 10 years I think I must have done it 20 times..................then I moved here:rotfl: Amazing how complacent we have got!

Well done on the mini inspection:T

  • Office day thankfully. The last couple of weeks have draaaiiiined me . Feel like I'm wading through treacle today!

But......very exciting news this morning!!! I am very sad :rotfl: I have become obsessed with fixing my roof over the last couple of days. Looking up quotes and figuring out the horror stories, budgets....scary...so wide ranging! Needs doing as patches growing!

Anyway, my DB was going to climb up a hired ladder to have a look...then I can start putting a realistic figure on it! BUT saw a neighbour this morning and remembered he has a ladder on his van. Said hello casually a few times. On my way to taking DD to school literally ran over to him as he was standing by his van that said ROOFING on the side whoo hoo! He said didn't I notice it in 10 years? NO....only notice stuff when I'm fixated on that problem to solve. Anyway he's looking at my roof on Saturday. Whatever the result, I trust him...he knows I'm not loaded and fingers crossed. Going to get guttering done too. :T:T:T
Going to treat myself to a cheese and spinich pancake at the cafe with friend today. Am feeling like life's all work work work right now.:( Have sore throat...Scarlet fever going round at work so on alert!

Take care all! Waiting for statements to start updating sigs!

    Evening Rach!

What good timing this morning with the roofing neighbour, fingers crossed it's not too pricey, but at least you'll know they'll do a good job. :T

Hope your cafe time with your friend was enjoyable.

Do look after yourself, so easy to pick up illness when run down. Are you getting a few early nights in now with the inspection over?

    xx

  • Ahhhh thanks Ali I appreciate that :T

Had an early night last night and will do the same tonight...just body aching and lost all adrenaline I need to get me through the hundred things that need doing each day :( It's understandable I suppose...just need the weekend to do nothing...no food shopping or anything. I want to lie on my bed and watch an endless supply of DVDs!!!

Have to do an 'exhibition' after school tomorrow....._pale_

Will have to sort out my attitude by tomorrow morning!

Was a bit naughty and ordered myself a £20 groupon massage (the full works plus an Indian head massage!!!) reduced from £60!!! :T Really good deal and close by. My half term treat. Been waiting for a good deal like this...worth it! Can't wait!

Hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend?

Well done on the early nights and the massage sounds fantastic and perfect - what a bargain :T A lovely and well deserved treat to look forward to during half term.

I could do with something like that - nearest I've got is DS rubbing sun tan lotion in on a holiday in about 2009 :rotfl: I'll have to check Groupon out. :)

Eat well, sleep well and chuck a multi-vit down your throat if you've some laying around :D

Ahhh a weekend of lazing around sounds real good :)

Good luck with the exhibition tomorrow night - then your weekend can begin!

    :rotfl:

I've never had a massage. Ex used to rub on a bit of baby lotion, smack my backside and say wahey!! One more reason he's an ex :rotfl:

I have lovely shelac nails though in burgundy
