  • Managed to get time to catch up:D

I'll put my tuppence in re e-bay discussion. My DS came down last week with 2 laptops under his arm asking what he should do with them. I said why not stick them on ebay and he looked at me as if I was daft. They're broken says he, and I just told him to make sure his description was very honest and explained everything that was wrong with them. Within half an hour he got £30 for one of them and £40 for the other one. He nearly peed his pants :rotfl:

I loathe listing on e-bay but will have another go soon and see what happens.

Cant help but notice you seem to be on card meters for gas and electric. Can you not get rid and get on a monthly dd as so much cheaper? Just wondering as the meters can be quite a trap x

  • Welcome MIT to the discussion :D

Can't believe how many broken things I've chucked out (snapped up...no wonder!) from the front of my house.

The meter thing....have always had it. The energy company says there's no way it's more expensive this way although others say different. In a weird way I feel in control like this as when I have no money we have to freeze!!! I don't know on this one???

First payday shop at A$DA. meal planned (had dinners left till Wednesday!) still came to loads though :( Bought a magazine and bubble bath for dd....I try not to bring her due to pester power but had no choice today) Bought some bulk things,,,washing powder, cat food....

Feel gross today...worked too hard last week and too many things to organise. Have just finished school planning and report writing. Have a mini inspection on Tuesday :eek::eek:

Literally forced self as feel bunged up and lousy with cold. Glad I'm not out tonight. Have 28 books to go through but they will have to wait till morning!!! Can't bl**dy wait :(

Going to watch 'The Voice' and lie down zombie like.....:rotfl:

Done some washing, tidying, washing up, NO cleaning as such... Got to make a stir fry as defrosted some turkey but can't be !!!!!d!!!:o

RR x Happy Saturday night :D:D:D

Might be worth checking your energy suppliers website for the charges for card meters vs. billed. Niggling feeling there might have been a change in the law last year that said pricing had to come into line. Know suppliers do apparently speed up card meters if people are paying off energy debt.

Only when you get a minute though - I'm going to join you watching The Voice with feet up after a busy work day today too. I saw Ricky Wilson/Kaiser Chiefs when I took DS to his first concert last June (they were warm up for Green Day) - 68,000 people in Arsenal's football stadium, a fab afternoon out (if you like the groups!). That was one of DS's Xmas presents in 2012!

Get some food inside you - any of the red stuff left to have a glass whilst chilling?

Work will have to wait! :)

  • Mmm that's interesting Ali :)

It's funny...I took my ds to Reading Festival (he loves Eminem!) last Summer! It was an adventure for sure! We had to get a boat from the car park......:rotfl:

That was his 14th birthday present....he still talks about it so well worth it :D

Feel really rough so off to bed...:(

Got to make a slow cooker concoction for week ahead tomorrow, go through books and clean up a bit before mums. Don't have the energy to be honest but dd really wants to see cousins!

PS I don't live a million miles from the arsenal stadium x
Hope I get a decent sleep and feel energised tomorrow.

    Take care all

Hope the early night and a good sleep works wonders.

Reading sounded like an experience and a half :rotfl: I think it's great to give them experiences, much prefer doing that than computer games, though DS might disagree most of the time :D

Ooh, we trained it down to Finsbury Park so we're about an hour north and west a bit :rotfl:

Can you take some cold relief stuff in the morning to help you through?

I'm going to aim for a lay in tomorrow, but doglets seem to have their own agenda!

Hope you get everything done ok before heading to your Mum's. Good for the kids to get together, though DS usually wants something yuck like a frog or lizard afterwards as my nephew has tanks of the things!

  • Survived the day!
Felt so rough but forced myself to do about 6 hours of school work from 6-12. It always takes longer than anticipated. Took loads of cold medication!!!

Hoovered, cooked and had a bath! :D

Got to mum's for about 3 and actually got out in the lovely fresh air. DD was totally hyper and exhausting....

Got a load of free chips!

DB back with me tomorrow for the week. He's bringing his own scrubbing brushes so I'm in for a clean house this week :rotfl:

Got a mirror from mum that she was chucking out. Lovely and huge.

Got a completely manic week coming up so will try and have a positive attitude

    Take care all
