And my reply? I didn't pick out anything that you hadn't said, positive or negative.

Please, tell me where I was wrong.

The quote of mine that you picked out was aimed at Acc72.

You said: "What this says to me, is that basically, you don't really want to work, you just don't want people to think less of you."

If I don't really want to work why is it that I work full-time?

You also said: "Without sounding horrible, and having seen how much help people have tried to provide you here and how you've taken it, you come across, at least to me, as very lazy, very ungrateful and with absolutely no interest in helping yourself."

How do I come across as lazy? If I am so ungrateful why have I taken the time to thank people for their advice? If I have "absolutely no interest in helping" myself, why would I have even sought advice on here?

What sort of qualifications do you have? (I only have GCSE's)

What jobs were they, and what did you like/hate about them?
(Mine were warehouse jobs where I hated being treated like a slave and working lots of hours for minimum wage, and admin jobs where I either felt out of my depth because I'm useless on the phone and I hated being around really confident women who made me feel bad about myself. Felt like I was just in the way, ESPECIALLY on various temping/agency assignments. Sometimes I wouldn't even have a proper seat or a desk, and they just stuck me on a foot stall on the corner of someone elses desk!)

What I really want is to find a course or something where I can complete it within, say 6 months, and then have a decent shot at getting a job based on that qualification which will pay more than minimum wage. Something easy that even I would likely be able to complete.

Failing that, a job that doesn't require anything more than GCSE's that I'd be able to get that didn't make me dread waking up each morning.

Qualifications are a Btec, a GNVQ and a City & Guilds in Electronics/Electrical work.

Job # 2 I had was an assembly line, just sat or stood in my case on a production line for 7.5 hours a day was mind numbingly boring, I kept it up for 5 months before Id had enough.

Job # 6 did start off very well, due to lack of experience ( id had 2/3 weeks shadowing the guy I was replacing) in the job I was doing and I was expected to be at the speed of more experienced staff and it just went downhill from then and led to me being let go.

It could be becauuse you have no choice.

Your replies do come across as suggesting that you dislike the whole idea of work. Many people do, and that's hardly a terrible state of affairs, but it is definitely going to make it hard for you to find a career that you enjoy.

What makes you believe that I dislike the whole idea of work? Isn't it only human nature for everyone to prefer to do something they enjoy for a living rather than something they hate?

Just the impression I get from your posts. I accept that it may not be the true picture, but it comes across that way.

What things do you enjoy that you could actually earn money for?

Thanks for the feedback. That wasn't the impression I intended to give off.

That's the million dollar question really. It would be very difficult to make money from watching football or listening to music. I suppose if I entered the world of journalism that would be a possibility. Although, I would need a degree and a specialist journalist qualification.

I was good at English at school, so would a career within a Communications/Public Relations department for a big company be possible without a degree?

Another poster mentioned the possibility of working in marketing, which is something I need to investigate further.
