Unfortunately not. I've held admin and data input positions in the past and they aren't really what I'd like to do.
The other roles aren't for me either. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I think you need to help yourself a little more. There have been lots of suggestions and lots of people trying to help you, and the best you have come back with is "I'd prefer to work indoors and to avoid manual work."
Our advice will only help dependent on how open minded you are, and how much you want to help your future.0 -
I don't have any advice, but I could have started this thread, and I could have written something close to resembling your replies!
Similar age.
I'm completely clueless as to what to do with my life.
I've had lots of low paid warehouse and admin jobs.
Lost my job a few months ago so unemployed and living off of savings.
Don't know what to do. I want to find a job that I don't hate and that doesn't make me depressed everyday (except Saturday when I forget about 'work')
Hobbies are football (playing and watching) and reading various forums online.0 -

I agree - if there is a job out there that involves being paid to watch football and listen to music then I would also be applying !
A lot of people have made lot of suggestions and the OP has rejected them all; they seem to know what they don't want by not what they do want.
Only the OP themselves can answer the question.0 -

So you've worked in jobs for the last ten odd years that didn't "excite" you -You know what you don't want to do (but appear to be unable to explain why they don't "excite" you) but have not not mentioned one aspect of any job that you have enjoyed...... Is it possible you simply don't enjoy working ?
Some people love the work they do
Some people moderately enjoy it
Others treat it as a means to an end-they simply love the freedom it gives them to do the things in life they love with their earnings.

He wasn't to know it was a trick question.
It wasn't a "trick question". It was asked to gain an indication of the sort of things the OP gets enjoyment from, in the hope that those things might be incorporated in a way of earning a living.[0 -

Yes. And he answered. And was then told that it must be 'some sort of a wind up'.
Most people's hobbies/interests aren't really things that can lead to a job. People like doing fun things in their spare time and as their hobbies.
Maybe if you love doing maths equations in your spare time, you're in luck and could be an accountant or something, but that's likely quite unusual0
