Lets just lay this all down from the start:

What this says to me, is that basically, you don't really want to work, you just don't want people to think less of you.

Without sounding horrible, and having seen how much help people have tried to provide you here and how you've taken it, you come across, at least to me, as very lazy, very ungrateful and with absolutely no interest in helping yourself.

Thanks for making so many ill-informed sweeping statements about me.

A part of my last job was listening to music(lots of it in many different formats), and was part of the job for most of the people working there.

it was an streaming audio product so my IT skills got me the job not the ability to listen to music.

people get paid to test video games but you need to be be quite good at them.

Is the OP willing to relocate?

Yes, I would be willing to relocate.

people get paid to test video games

that sounds like a job I might enjoy! :)

    My hobbies are:
    Football(playing and watching)
    socializing/drinking
    Video games
    Surfing the web
    I like animals
    Watching films

Shouldn't imagine i'd be able to get paid for doing any of them things, though!

I think if I had a list of every job in the world that didn't need a degree, I might be able to find a few that I could imagine myself being able to do and would begin trying to apply for them jobs.

I agree - if there is a job out there that involves being paid to watch football and listen to music then I would also be applying !

At what stage did I say that I expected to be able to get a job that involved watching football or listening to music? I was asked what I like to do in my spare time. You will also find that I mentioned a few other interests, but you have not mentioned those. You seem to have just picked out those two interests to try and belittle me rather than help me.

Well, there's your first mistake. Sure, some of them would be difficult, but there are plenty of options.

Socializing/drinking- bar work or pub work. Bar back, bar tender, bar manager, sales rep for a drinks supplier and so on. And catering/hospitality.

Animals- kennel hand, job in a zoo or similar.

In fact, reading that again, you would be perfect working in a pub. You can talk about football, you can talk about computer games and you can talk about films. You surf the web so you know all the funny stuff and memes.

    Where do you live?!

The thing is we don't know you so cant suggest anything more than already suggested on here. You don't have to enjoy the work you do, just be good at it I say :)

How about marketing? There are many entry level positions available and you can develop a good skill-set and advance rather quickly.

That's something that I would like to investigate further. Do you work in Marketing?

And my reply? I didn't pick out anything that you hadn't said, positive or negative.

Please, tell me where I was wrong.

There are companies that employ testers for both the highlighted allthough the skillsets to become very good at it are not things every one can learn, many programers/coders are useless at it, thats why there are the jobs.

Loads of jobs with animals BUT many are outside.

    Socializing/drinking get into working pubs/clubs

eg http://www.wetherspoonjobs.co.uk/ have a career path that pays ok once you get to pub manager level £20k+ potential before that for shift leader jobs.

That's fair enough and I genuinely appreciate the constructive advice that people have offered me.

My gripe is with the posters who have made ill-informed comments about me and made assumptions.
