I have this for lunch a couple of times a week....

Whatever left overs there are from the night before grilled on toast with cheese on top. usually tastes great. Even if the left overs only amount to a handful this works as you fill in the gaps with the cheese.

Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

You're probably not going to believe this one - but it is really nice, honest :) ...

Plain buttered toast with salt and pepper on it.

It works, honest :) Cross my heart and erm... hope to win the lottery :)

Another good one, and surprisingly filling, is an almost straighforward cheese sandwich... toast your bread, allow it to cool, and then make a cheese sandwich in the usual way. I guess this would work for other sandwiches too - must get around to experimenting one day.

  • Does anyone have any weird and wonderful uses/recipes for toast?

I was introduced today to the delights of cinnamon toast. I'd never heard of it before and it was so simple and tasty that it made me realise that you always live and learn!
  • One of our favourite breakfasts is sliced bananas cooked in a bit of butter, honey and cinnamon until they go syrupy and then served over warm toast.mmmmmmm
  • I like tinned fish.

Lots more ideas here - something on toast.
