    Hi everyone,

We popped into the Supermarket last night to get a few bits and pieces and spent £44.28. I think next time I'm going to try and do an online shop as it stops me buying all those unecessary items.

Just a £1 spend yesterday on milk. I now have £6.92 or £1.73 per person a day. Not great but it is getting better :)

A few NSD or low spend days has really helped to increase it, I will be having a larger spend day tomorrow though at Li Dl on the weekend offers. I will then try to spend very little again for the rest of the week.

DH spent £3 at the shop yesterday. Today should be a NSD :)

Last night was fishfingers, mash and beans/veg. No idea what we are having tonight, I'm trying to use up some of the open bags in the freezer.

Might take some beef out for the slow cooker tomorrow, it's a huge joint so should hopefully feed all 7 of us and I might attempt a soup/pie or something. My cooking skills are very limited so should be fun.

I had a milk top up yesterday and bought a lot of YS items so will have enough for 30 meals with what I already have in stock so will be able to reduce my spend overall this month. So tomorrow will be doing some batch cooking in the slow cooker and using up some YS items and from stocks.

Over budget for this week, but that's due to having stocked up on multibuys/deals that will offset cost of next couple of weeks shopping.
Spent £12.29 in A*da yesterday, £3.90 in Sains today and £3.80 in W*itrose.

A*da buys included cereal, flour and jars of sauce. Will get cashback on the flour.
Sains was bread, pittas, stir fry mix and chocolate. The chocolate wasn't needed, but on offer and with cashback was a good buy.
W*itrose buys were frozen peas (10% off for loyalty card, so cheaper than other supermarkets for ones we wanted), lemon juice and cornflour (also both cheaper than our other supermarket options.)

Luckily we only need turkey, bread, tinned pineapple and potatoes for next week, so should be able to stay under budget!

    Total spend so far: £55.40/£160
GC: £40 a week. Sticking to my budget, but never remembering to post in the relevant thread.
Probably buying toiletries that I don't need, as I can't resist a "bargain."

    Hi everyone,

    Budgets updated to here :)

I have had a few spends :o as I hosted a party plan party last night. I bought wine and nibbles so will take these from my personal money - not fair to penalise the family budget for those treats ;) Also bought salad for dinner.

DD made coleslaw in food tech and managed to make it home on the bus intact, so we had that with Aldi ham and cheese tarts, salad and potatoes. DH hates quiche type things as 'it's not a proper dinner' - but even he was impressed with the coleslaw (although she needs to work on her slicing skills as I got a mouthful of onion at one point ).

Dinner tonight is probably chicken fajitas - I got 4 x OEP kits in Costco for £5 odd. We will need some peppers so will update sig later.

    Have a good day all

Trying to buy more fruit and veg to get diet kick started but have already lost 10lbs in 2 months. Not mega I know but feel better already.

I think it's pretty good! You don't want to lose too much too quickly! Says the one who wants to lose 8kg by June :rotfl:! 2/2.5 Kg a month is more than adequate!
I am now aiming to 2 kg a month. I will not go out of my way to make it more. If it happens then it's a plus..Anyway, how our famous sm says: every little helps! The important is that the weight is off and stays off!
