Spend of £4.12 in A1di on fresh veg and milk today.
Question for any regular Mr T couponers (or anyone who works there). When I did some shopping there on Monday I got a till spit for £6 off a £40 spend. Can I use the £6 off £40 if my total is £40 before they deduct manufacturers coupons, or does it need to be £40 after they're deducted? (I'm really struggling if it has to be afterwards, as I desperately don't want to increase the stockpiles I'm currently working hard to shrink!)
I normally blanch broccoli, cauli and carrots before freezing, but I don't know if the fact it's salted will impact on the results (I don't salt veg at all, but know that salt changes freezing temps.Quick question, I had some broccoli cut up with a pinch of salt to go with the chicken (didn't put it into water or cook it). Can I freeze it as I don't think I would use for a few days and don't want it to go limp.... thanks

Hi CW 18
Online at Tesco your basket needs to be over £40 and then the discount applies so you would only pay £35. If that make sense?
Spent another chunk today on an online order, the cupboards are groaning so should be able to still hit my £300 target. I do need to start meal planning better at the moment, I've dished up a couple of rubbish dinners this week because I'm leaving it so last minute! Oops

I would offer the till split first to get the total down to £34 then offer the manufacturers coupons to bring total down further. Don't see how they could not let that go through.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0 -

Hadn't thought of that - brilliant idea, thanksI would offer the till split first to get the total down to £34 then offer the manufacturers coupons to bring total down further. Don't see how they could not let that go through.
The manufacturer one I have at the moment is a pizza one someone posted about on MSE (I think on the grocery thread) - had to apply for it via f@cebook, and it arrived a couple of days ago. The money off spend I have for Mr T is a till spit I was given when I paid on Monday (only my second visit this year with the 1st being under £3 and this weeks being under £16, so I suspect they're trying to get my custom back!)skintmum2012 wrote: »hi everyone just wondering you know the food coupons so much off type things how do you all find them please is there a web site?Cheryl0 -
Tonight we had turkey burgers as planned. I added a spoonful of cranberry sauce to mine and some chopped up spring onions which was nice. DH not that keen on meat & fruit though so he had them without. I am trying to do a week with no bread hence no burger bun. Have managed two days so far and doing ok. I did have another burger later that was left over as they weren't that big.
Shopping list needed now for tomorrow so better get busy planning meals.
Florenceem - love the look of your casserole.

Hi all - just caught up on several pages of thread.
Sorry to hear so many have been poorly - me too!! Still can't shift it and it's 9 days now. Anyway - signature updated and weekly shop due tomorrow too! I do have enough main meals for at least next week however will need to restock on soft drinks as that was all I could manage to try and stop the cough!! Got a couple of YS items in local Sainsbobs - just there at right time I think.
Trying to buy more fruit and veg to get diet kick started but have already lost 10lbs in 2 months. Not mega I know but feel better already.
Will just update sig tomorrow and then hope for several NSDs before next Friday's shop.
Take care everyone and welcome to all newbies.

NSD for me

Had some HM soup and croutons for dinner and mince, mash and veg for tea. Very comforting food on a wet, windy day.
A few hours out tomorrow with a couple of friends, but don't really need much grocery wise, maybe some more fruit. I'm drinking quite a few smoothies at the moment to try and build myself up.
Stay safe xA family that eats together, stays together
