The whole house has been poorly here so no big spends but have had to use the local shop for bread and milk and dd has had some money on her school dinner card.

    Total spend now at 129/600.

The only plus side to them being poorly is that they have hardly eaten so the food will stretch a little further. Had pancakes yesterday as they were too ill on Tuesday, they were the bottled mix stuff, Must learn to make them myself, they taste so much better fresh made.

Think tonight will be sausage and mash with beans for dd's and veg for ds's (ds's wont eat beans and dd's eat very limited veg, something I really need to work on).

Have done this week's main shop and have spent £1.16 in farmshop; £3 in Iceland and £21.56 in Mr T. Mr T was nearly £10 more than it would have been but I decided to get decent cutter boxes for foil & clingfilm as I waste so much without a decent cutter and they were £4 something each. Will be a long time before I need to buy any more foil or clingfilm as I've got loads now!

Have got enough fruit and veg for a few days but will need to get some more early next week - usually go to the market Tuesday but may just go to farmshop on Monday instead as I have to take the car in for service that day anyway so will save an extra trip and give me an extra NSD!

£5.20 gone out of my remaining £22 so £16.80 left..
LO chicken is making fried rice for dinner today, using some cut up peppers from the freezer and peas etc

Were these fresh peppers that you have frozen?did you just chop them up and put them in the freezer? I have three in the fridge that need using up so I was thinking of freezing them!

Frizzle I always slice going over the top peppers and freeze them. They are fine for adding to bolognaise etc.

Spent £35.90 in L1dl and £14.22 in C0-op today. I will update my siggy in a mo. Shame I couldn't get everything in L1dl as the C0-op is expensive but is the only SM we have here. L1dl is in the complete opposite direction to any other big SM's so its difficult to shop around on the same day.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.

Hey ladies - meal was abandoned yesterday as chicken smelled a 'bit off' (was a ys from my freezer, lol). I was debating a Chinese, but we managed to dig some fish and fish fingers out of the freezer.

Quick question, I had some broccoli cut up with a pinch of salt to go with the chicken (didn't put it into water or cook it). Can I freeze it as I don't think I would use for a few days and don't want it to go limp.... thanks :)
