Hi all
Had a great weekend camping and am now home getting ready for the week ahead.
Stopped at a roadside stall and stocked up on strawberries, avocados and lots of veg.
DD met a couple of German backpackers and is sending them here for some TLC so need to dust off the recipe books and come up with some tasty frugal treats.
Budget is not going as easily as last month, but hopefully still on track.0 -

Wow Soworried those bargains are amazing. We never have offers like that around here. Here its more like 20p off something on its last sell by date or with the package badly damaged. Think they would rather ditch the stuff than let the customers get something cheap.
Was beginning to think it was just me! We don't see reductions like this either. Those of you who are good at spotting the bargains do you have preferred times and days? Do you go to more than one supermarket?GC Feb £95.45/£1000 -

Morning all
Went to mr t yesterday and now stand at £217.69 with 11 days to go or one weekly shop.
I had defrosted chicken for DH to make curry last night and pork steaks for today but we were running so late we had a meal deal from tescimos so I now need to do something with all that meat!
The pork we will have with orange and apricots tonight as planned and will make 2 meals out of the chicken, just nor sure what. I did find a nice recipe for slow cooker pulled chicken in a BBQ sauce I might try.
I also want to make some GF rocky road and flapjack for lunches next week.
DS is at a party today so it will need to be a marathon cooking session this afternoon as I have laundry and DS room to sort this morning.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

NSD here yesterday, bf bought some treats out of his own budget as he is off to a training camp today but that's his spend :-)
Need milk but the weather is shocking so I will get some on my lunch break tomorrow.
The cooker arrived yesterday but i have to wait until thursday to get it fitted :-( that means i only have the combination oven and george foreman whilst bf is away - not 100% sure how that will go! Also have an appointment in another city Tuesday afternoon and one of the antenatal team visiting the house friday afternoon as well as work so pretty busy; hopefully too busy to shop!************************************

I think this is down to the fact that more and more people are looking for a bargain these days and are happy to get a small reduction.
The first reductions are usually only 20p-3op off in my local asda
the second about 50p and its not until the 3rd which is late afternoon that you see really ood reductions but by that time there is not much left.
I am going to go at about 3pm today as they close at 4pm to see what I can find.Slimming World at target0 -

The ones I got last night were bought at 9.30pm from MrT large store and MrS local small one.
I hope that helps you, it really is hit and miss but I find those times the best.
