Another NSD for me yesterday taking my total to 18 for February - my target was 15 so pleased with the extra 3!

Today is payday so the start of my March challenge.

  • NSD yesterday (on groceries at least as we went shopping for new clothes for kids and new suit for hubby and went out for lunch so was a nice treat) toasties for tea!

Hubby entertaining with work for next 3 days so it will just be me and the kids for dinner so a bit easier! I will pick up some M&S simplyfood items today on expenses so even easier (usually a bit of fruit)

    So far so good

  • Another NSD today so am well pleased.
Bought some upholstery fabric (another budget ) to recover seats in the motorhome, so will be busy the next few days. I am not a talented sewer, but OH is very logical so between us we should be able to figure it out I hope. If it all turns to custard we have a friend who has an upholstery business who will do it, but I really want to do it ourselves.

Arrived back yesterday to another friend who had 4 crayfish (lobsters) for us, so dinner tonight was crayfish salad, followed by pork bbq'd spare ribs, chips and salad, yummy and cheap at a total cost of $1.50 each( about 70p)

Tomorrow is sewing, harvesting tomatoes and making tomato soup and canning it for winter.

    Cheers

  • Think I'll be adding today's shop to March as is mostly for March.
It's 20% staff discount at morrisons and we have a card from a family member so I'm going to do a stock up shop.
Would be a shame not to when they have half price chickens -20%!!

I'm doing the same, so I can use the extra discount too :j. I figure starting my first grocery challenge a couple of days early is ok seeing as Feb is a short month anyway. So my March will run from today to the 25th March..... ;)

  • Hello, hope you all had a nice weekend..

My last day is Friday 28th and I am already over-over-over!!

Miscalculated a few things like olive oil and butter that were running low + cat food. She (my cat) has got plenty of pouches but I haven't realised it was all leftover Whiskas and Vitacat gravy which she hates. She loves Vitacat in jelly but would not eat the other one.. soooo fussy!
The signature does not include butter just because I cant remember the amount (and left the receipt at home). I will update it properly tonight.
Basically I am going to be £5-6 over but do not need anything else for the next 5 days...I MUST NOT need anything else for the next 5 days!!!!

    Have a good day, people!

I do not have a target but I have spent more than I want. Hopefully next month will be better.

One NSD for me but I am loaded with milk and have enough cheese for this week so I am hoping to get through till Saturday before I have another SD. This month was higher than I hoped but there have been a few additional treats which I can now avoid hopefully.

Week 3 also came in at over 45 - £48.10 - so definitely heading for an overspend. However, this week has been better, only £27.25 so far...and should not need much more between now and Thursday - finger's crossed. Total for the month so far £191.25/£180, and just one small top up to go. I will be sticking to £50 per week next month, although I would certainly have doe much better without visitors!
