Either way will be fine. Personally I bake first,
freeze and then microwave the second one.If I'm making it to take to work for lunches I portion it up before freezing.

Just a couple of spends to report.
DH popped into small Tesco while walking to dog the other night to pick up some ham. He also picked up some Creme Egg biscuits because he wanted to try them and he knows I love Creme Eggs. I think I will stick to normal Creme Eggs, I thought they tasted weird being combined with biscuit! £3 spent.
£13.64 spent yesterday at Aldi on weekly shop, which I was very impressed with. We have got enough frozen veg to keep us going for a while, lots of sausages in the freezer, a portion of mince and some hm pasta sauce and spag bol frozen too so we only needed a few top ups to keep us going.
We might need some more frozen veg soon so might have to nip to Farmfoods, but I think we should be ok for everything for the week, so fingers crossed will be under budgetThank you to everyone who posts on here0 -
Hi all,
Did my (hopefully) last shop of the month today, £43 at Ald!, this was to mainly top up for packed lunches and included £15 on a bottle of scotch for a friends b,day, which we forgot about, so less than £30 on real foodNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Hi all,
I'm back from our ski trip so have updated budgets to here
Welcome to kdalwayskint
Hopefully I haven't missed anyone's budget - if so please PM me.
We had a lovely week - 67 of us in Andorra - scouts/leaders/parents. Only one major injury (fractured wrist) although DH took a tumble on Friday afternoon and has hurt his shoulder/ribs. We left Friday evening by coach and he has been to A&E today but there is a 5 hour wait time, so he will see how he feels in the morning. Typical man! Very nice having full board catering - plenty of food - lots of carbs but then again we were using lots of energy!
Dinner tonight is spag bol followed by apple crumble. Spent £27.58 in Sainsbury today on bits and bobs (nearest SM to the hospital). I will need some milk and veg to take us up to Friday and the end of my Feb GC.
Keep going everyone - the end is in sight

I think I may have done my last shops for the month, but will not declare yet just incase I need something else. I've got 2 lots of vouchers for M'son's which will be used on two shops for March next Saturday or Sunday, so that will be £20 off those shops. I gauged it so I only spent £40 and with staff discount 10% we are well stocked up on toilet rolls 16 rolls £5 and the £2.50 4 tins Tuna I used these to pad out the shops. Next week I will get extra meat for the freezer for the £40 spend to use the £10 vouchers.
I have staff discount too, as Mum works there and told me you can use your staff discount with the vouchers this time and that it's also double discount on Monday (tomorrow) and Tuesday only. Means £22 for a £40 shop......TTC #3..........0 -
Spent some of my extra £ for 24 toilet rolls £8 in Morrison - 80p discount so a deal I couldn't miss out on really!
Should last us a good 4/5 monthsI'm C, Mummy to DS 29/11/2010 and DD 02/11/2013

I need vege stock pots. I have £2 left, out of my grocery spend until Friday which is payday.
Theres a 50p coupon I can use and I have a 49p voucher for price match.
I have to pop to Tescos anyway to get biscuits for a work meeting (work will pay) but can I be trusted to just get the stock cubes?0 -
Three food buying trips this weekend, some bits for a picnic, a top up shop and OH did a shop for a lunch he cooked for friends.
So we're sitting at £63.36/£200 remaining for this last week of Feb.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
We were invited to OH parents for lunch today but I had forgotten about the SM delivery, I booked the cheap all day slot, OH took his girls over and I stayed home to wait for the delivery.
I don't enjoy cooking but decided to put my spare time to good use todayI have baked a batch of banana muffins, a batch of apple rock cakes, made a shepherds pie and roasted a chicken
I've stripped the chicken, made sandwiches for this evening tea and also made them for tomorrow's lunch boxes. Put the rest into two tubs, one will go straight into the freezer and the other will be curry for tea on Tuesday, we'll have the shepherds pie tomorrow.
I've individually wrapped all the cakes, including the flapjack I made yesterday, all ready for lunch boxes this week :T
How organised am I?! :rotfl:
My February GC doesn't end until 9th March so I've still got a few weeks left to go and hoping to come in under budget, any spare I'll be putting into my son's college bus find, he doesn't start until September but it's going to be another £49 a month to find, besides anything else he's going to need for college.new challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00
