Spent slightly more than usual today in A1di £30.05
I agree with the planning to help reduce your budget, it certainly helps and its not written in stone so if things have to alter or you just don't fancy something one night then its easy enough to swop the days around. Like us tonight - we were having pasta but then ended up with fish & salad and the pasta will do another day.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

Grocery shop of 10.75 this morning, including a dozen eggs (normally only get 6). Got some potatoes and a lettuce too. Probably could have found them cheaper elsewhere but I didn't want to go to the sm (and probably would have bought more there anyway
)
I'm going very well so far with my budget, though have had a couple of 'other' spends that may impact! Bought some books for work and I want to try to manage without taking that cash from another pot. I'm still figuring out what is a realistic budget that allows me to save but still allows me the flexibility to cope with changes of plan.
I also seem to have become obsessed with building up the savings pot again - I may find I've gone a bit too gung-ho and not left myself enough, but I'll wait and seeMarch 2020 grocery challenge $921.76/$500AU

Forgot I'd mentioned this already so only technically a Tesc* shop then. Have added all but need to add the £1 in local shop as forgot all about that til I read this, as they don't give you a receipt.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Went out for a lovely meal on Thursday night for a friends 60th...a different budget...and yesterday went into town with a friend and still didn't spend any of the grocery budget. I did buy a lovely cardi from a sale though
DH gone to a farm sale so pottering about today. Have beetroot to jar and washing to do, ironing to catch up on and then out this evening to 'nana sit'!

Final shop of the month done...and took us up to budget by stocking up on long life pantry essentials (tom puree, tins, veg oil, flour, raisins, popping corn, tacos, tortillas to freeze, some on offer meats) ready for when baby arrives and we don't fancy a big shop.
Feeling oh so heavy and waddle-esque now. That oh so familiar end of pregnancy feeling.
Certainly helping me clean the house thoroughly though!
Ticker's updated! Happy Saturday everyone!0 -
Really annoyingly, I found my food purse open and empty today, although I know I should have money left. I'm not really sure what I did with it all...
I do know I borrowed either £5 or £20 from it earlier in the week, so I decided to pop £20 back in it for this week, as otherwise I'd be in a pickle! I have spent £22.50 on food today, which included £6 in the indian supermarket buying spices for a curry course I'm doing.
I have 5 more curry classes to do, and then I need to start thinking of an innovative way to finish off some of the spices, which only featured in dishes I would need a deep fat frier to make again. Any ideas for ground fenugreek, gram flour or mustard seeds?0
