NSD.
End of my February GC - declare at £69.73.
For dinner we had HM sausage casserole with dumplings + jacket potato + cabbage/carrots. Phew - that is the last of the large white cabbage.
Three tubs of this casserole to go in the freezer.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Back from a great weekend in the bush, bush walks, swimming in the river, watching gloworms, and I saw a couple of woodpigeons (they were hunted nearly to extinction, because they tasted so good. Now a protected species they are still rare, so it was great to see them.
Because we were in the bush have had a couple of NSDs so still on track to come in under budget0 -
A NSD today that's 12 so far this month I think. We had roast chicken, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, sprouts and sweet corn today 3 eaten today 1 mum took home for tomorrow, hubby and I have had chicken sandwiches and there is plenty left for at least 4 more meals. Also have a head of broccoli which needs using soon so may make soup with it tomorrow and possibly a small broccoli cheese if any left. Leeks in fridge will last a few more days yet. I made egg custard as well but without the pastry as try to only eat pastry at the most once a week and we have meat & potato pie on the menu later in the week. Egg custard was really nice though and just a little bit left for tomorrow.
I have been looking through my spread sheets and it appears to me that I have a good first two weeks then the spending seems to click up a gear for the final two weeks - possibly because I think I have so much of the budget left so may as well be a bit reckless.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Can I suggest you just Google ' what can I use ....... for ? and see what comes up. I know my gran used to make me put my head over a bowl of boiling water and mustard and under a towel for the steam to help with congestion - doesn't do much for the hair-do though :rotfl:
I did try that, but the answers that came up were all for fenugreek leaves, not the powder which has a completely different flavour. Most suggestions for the powder itself seem to revolve around yoghurt masks to help spotty skin, but I don't really have spots just now.0 -
£6.72 added to my grocery spends. Went out yesterday (Saturday) for fresh veg for the weekend (with a few bits plus potatoes left to see me into the start of this next week).Cheryl0

Very nice having full board catering - plenty of food - lots of carbs but then again we were using lots of energy!
Dinner tonight is spag bol followed by apple crumble.
Keep going everyone - the end is in sight
Coxyplanning to use lots of energy tonight then Coxy :rotfl: only joking - glad you had a great holiday and got back safely.

Try allrecipes.com and enter fenugreek powder into ingredients box and hit search. There are 21 recipes - admittedly all curry type stuff but not nec deep fried and might give you some ideas.
Had to shop today - mainly pack-ups, fruit and veg and groundnut oil (wish it wasn't so expensive). So Sainsbobs took £7.10 and a further £23.66 in Al*i (£6.89 for chicken breasts to make curries this week). Hope now only need milk to 28th fingers xd
Hope you all have a magical Monday

Another NSD for me and I am hoping to get through the rest of the month without any more shopping trips. We are away on Friday AM early so only 4 more days to go. May be some weird combinations of food for dinner as I intend to use up what we have in the fridge so I can leave it clean and empty to restock when we get back after the weekend. Plenty in the freezer and cupboards so we won't starve.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

NSD ( I love typing that lol)
Had a lovely day pottering about at home. DH spent the day busy on his garage, and I made lots of leek soup for the freezer with a forgotten pack at back of the fridge! I had that for tea with HM croutons and DH cooked himself some bacon and eggs etc.
Cleaned up my mess of a utility room while putting washing in and sorting socks...where do the odd ones go to? I have managed to condense the ironing into one basket, and put a load of whites in before I go to bed. I'm really pleased with what I got done today, I shall probably be kerknickered next few days but hey ho lol
I shall have to go and get a few bits of shopping tomorrow but I'm well under budget again this month and so have dropped the money again for March. I'm staying on here til the end of the month though.
Stay safe xA family that eats together, stays together
