I cleared 3 books shelves this weekend - 4 junior cookbooks to work colleague with a munchkin, the rest to ex work colleague who has time on her hands to read!

Sat at the door to go out, a Minnie mouse duvet set which I bought for my niece who already has it, so donating to a deserving wee girl; ditto toiletry gift sets to her mum.(all new, bought in a sale 3 for 1!

Another bag of toiletries and wine for a charity raffle my friend is having sat at the door. Doesnt the place look tidy once its all been binned/sold/donated?

  • After successfully clearing the space in the kitchen by the freezer, I'm going to tackle the hallway today.

We had snow yesterday, but it's cleared now. However the sky looks full of something, so another wet day.

Still waiting to hear about my interview. The waiting is nerve-wracking! Also heard I now have another interview on Friday with another separate company. The first one is the one where I worked as a temp. So my clearing has gone by the way for the moment, hope everyone else is getting on ok.

Hello  everybody and good morning. Just managed to catch up with this thread after being mia for a few days - have to say that you're all showing me up :o with lots of decluttering ....................... :T

I've been taking it a bit easy since last week. Had a cold that went away but left me with cough - so a good excuse for doing as little as possible ;). Lots of self-indulgence, 'sucky cough sweets', swigs of honey&lemon drinks ................... :D.

Finally back into the CS for my regular shift this afternoon - all I've put to one side is:

    79. Little Purple Vase
    80. Couple of empty 'ring boxes' – we keep them to put jewellery in when we sell it :).
    81. Mountain of carrier bags – always useful in a CS shop
    82. Man's jacket – donated willingly by OH

Fingers crossed that I don't bring anything back - not been in there for about 2 weeks, so a bit worried that there just might be some temptations lurking around :undecided :o.

Keep up the good work everybody :j

    43 Batch of 29 LP’s – eBay

My friend is also doing a de-cluttering process, and I sell her things on eBay and we share the proceeds. It works for us, she doesn't have much spare time, I enjoy eBaying and we both get a little bit of extra money.

Last week, she gave me some more 'stuff'. It's all quite big stuff, and the stuff I want to eBay on my own behalf is also quite large. At the moment, it's all sitting in the spare room, along with boxes and some bubble wrap that I've acquired from various sources.

A few bits are already on eBay, and I'll do some more at the weekend. But I find, that with large sized items, I don't like to list too many to end at the same time. They take ages to pack, and then it's a major undertaking to get them all to the post office or collect plus shop.

So, I think I'll just have to put up with the spare room looking like a stolen goods warehouse for a few weeks! :rotfl:

At least it's all contained in the one room and I can shut the door on it!

I've had quite a few 'ins' today as it's my birthday but as some are flowers and chocs they won't be around forever!
Two much needed presents of a new handbag and purse. The clasp on my old purse broke so that will be going out and the handbag I've been using was old and cheap and past it's best so that'll be gone too.
Only other out today is some rubbish/old receipts etc from my purse and handbag and 3 more ebay parcels posted.

I WILL do better tomorrow, have plans for areas to be sorted!

Congratulations and bday4.gif for yesterday - and well done on the 'pressie haul' ;).

Enjoyed myself at the CS yesterday, though not many customers due to really lousy weather - so we closed up slightly early to get off home quickly at the end of the day. Luckily the weather seem to be much better today - so fingers are crossed for more customers.

No decluttering for me today, as I'm in the shop all day - but best of luck to everybody else and hoping to read about some good progress when I get back in.

Take care all - luv Lilyplonk xx

ps - any news from the interview yet, Unixgirl?
  • Morning fellow declutterers

Sorted a few boxes out of the hall yesterday, and listed some things on Ebay. Most have watchers and one has a bid already. Went upstairs to change the bed, and cleared all the washing into the wardrobes. We seem to have loads of clean socks that need pairing, so will do that later and bin all the odd ones.

Not a lot of decluttering today as off shopping, then picking up the grandchildren from school.
