Haven't read back on what I have missed sorry :o
Sorted out the two junk drawers in the kitchen sideboard, threw out a few bits, CS pile for others and now have one junk drawer/random bits + one stationary drawer.
Sorted through the airing cupboard/room and just tided more than anything, but everything in there can be seen and found easily now. Did throw out a couple of cardboard boxes and packaging that were just taking up room.
extra mugs are now in the CS pile also, we have too many so have narrowed them down to couple of special ones and my pretty ones that match :)

We have had builders in which caused some disruption but it is amazing how much easier it was with less carp hanging around.:T

I am going to go through the office in the next week as it has a big wardrobe in there and be extremely ruthless.:A

Not done much this week but here are my small achievements:

    * Dropped off an old lamp at the charity shop
    * Old stamps given to charity
    * A couple of storage containers have been emptied after filling up bird food outside

Next plan is to do the ironing

  • I've had a bit of a mammoth clear out recently. In the last few weeks I've got rid of at least 57 'things'. I know this as I've been keeping a list!
Some of those things are multiples such as a box of books, a pile of DVDs etc but I've not counted the individual items.
I know there are more things that I've got rid of, but ironically I can't remember what they were. Clearly I wasn't missing them if I can't recall what they were!
I took a carful of stuff to the charity shop and household waste recycling centre (only stuff that was beyond the charity shop).
I have another bag of stuff already totting up for the charity shop.

A couple of things have come in - a small armchair from the auction house - a fab 1950s chair which will replace an Ikea chair.
The second is a small bookcase from a charity shop, 60s I think. It will replace my Billy bookcase and a cheapo shelving unit which have been purged of 'stuff' recently. It's smaller than the two pieces of furniture it replaces; is second hand, and more inkeeping with the style I'm going for. Billy will be sold and I'm undecided on what will happen to the shelves. I think they're beyond redemption so they may end up in the wood skip at the HWRC.

I need to tackle the wardrobe in more detail but I feel like I need to work up to that - I'm trying to pull a capsule wardrobe together and I think it needs some real thought put into it, which I haven't really got time for right now.
