Mouse droppings in the tea towel drawer
Not as many as under the sink but have put all tea towels in the wash now. Got rid of shower curtain hooks (charity box) and there were a couple of tea towels now fit for rags.
I haven't done the other two drawers yet but really hoping the mouse infestation isn't a huge one2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -

It's always hard to throw away nice things, I found a charity that gets money based on the weight of the items, it was just one of the bags shoved through the door... they don't re-sell, it gets recycled so they can have things people wouldn't buy, I sent all my bed linen from uni, ( I managed to dye the pillow cases from one set and the quilt cover from another blue so nothing matched hmmph!), and a winter coat that had gone all bobbly, but it felt justified because the coat was heavy the charity would get quite a bit for it
. Sadly I've never found them again though
not that we get those bags where I live anyway, too rural it's not worth their time coming out here.
All charity shops sell unsellable (to the public) clothes/bedding to 'rag men'.
What I usually do is label the bag as damaged or rags and then the charity shop [STRIKE]dont think you are donating scabby things [/STRIKE] can see at a glance what is suitable to be sold to the public and what isnt!!0 -
TheDoolallyDilly I have to share this with you, my tired brain didn't read your post properly it jumped from "eldest son arrived home from college... gone through it..." to "bra"
was thinking that is not something you want your mum finding :P oops lol

That's good to knowI often just bin the things I don't think are suitable for the charity shop
I didn't get round to clearing all three drawers yesterday but have done so now. 7 pairs of chopsticks, packet seeds and loads of birthday candles went in the charity box. There are a pile of papers for the shredder and all the loose screws now have their own box.
I'm not going to do any more decluttering now until Monday but 4/9 are completed so slowly but surely it will get done2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -

Not too much gone on this week, I have discovered more things to add to the ever growing ebay 'to sell' pile so they will be sorted in the next couple of weeks, including a couple of things living in the top of the wardrobe that i haven't even got out of the box since buying, the shame!
- am going to need more packaging materials at this rate
Out -
-two pairs of holey socks
-set of drinks that were getting minging, replace with half price ones from morrisons that actually match the rest of the lounge
-some CDs into the CS bag
-3 ebay sales posted last week, one hoodie definitely selling tonight, not overly hopeful on my other items though
Am finally sick of the pile of books in the lounge that need to go, cant find any sites that will take them all so amazon trade in is my last resort before going to the CS with them (in stages!)0
