2014 - keep crunching away

  • Morning all :)

Another week is upon us and a foggy start to it here in the North East.

I'm feeling much better than Friday I am pleased to say. I was in a bit of a fluster with one thing and another. I now have a plan formulating, so that always helps. Re DH - It's just not an option Pink. It's of those things I should have done many years ago, which at the time I didn't as he would worry too much and then I left it too long. So now I need to get sorted sharpish.

The plan I have started to develop, is to carry on with the 2nd job (which was something else I was feeling down about on Friday but thankfully that's all sorted now) and earn all I can there. I will overpay everything from that to the debt as originally planned. I'll also continue to overpay from the day job as planned. DH hasn't mentioned the offer since Thursday, however I know how he works and it will be when something suitable comes up, he will want all systems go. So rather than that take me by surprise I have a plan B. My parents, (yes, I know, at my age running to parents!) have cash that would cover my debt. So I have written a letter on Friday to my Mam asking for a loan or to pay it off and it's ready to send should I ever need to. I'm ashamed to (she's bailed me out before when I was 21 ish, no kids etc) so I hope not to have to do it, but it's there if I need to. Yes, not much of a covert operation, but it's simmering away and something else may present itself over the next few months.

So back to normal for today. Happy Monday :) The weekend was a busy one with DH's birthday, horses and Remembrance Sunday. Really enjoyed it and on Saturday night we had a lovely meal out. Really nice place and I'm hoping DH takes me for my birthday next month ;)

I spent £50 ish in Aldi which is for the coming week and we won't be back until Sunday again. No other spends though on Wed I have my B H S ex@m so I will use a fair bit of diesel getting there and back. First step to being a qualified yard owner.

Right, I'm off to do some number crunching and work.

  • Well I've had my first pay packet from the 2nd job :) so I have made the payment straight to the CC. This month is already more than I earned last month (I was taken on at the end of the month) so I'm pleased, as the forecast is to destroy my payment goal of £250 to the CC with my next pay/s. This will massively help.

Today's a NSD and tomorrow is the B H S ex@m so petrol shall be used there :S but a friend is joining me so she will be paying half.

Not much else to report, I'm not working tonight so I can do last minute revision. That's all that is on my mind at the moment.

Oh, I was offered the article writing job, all a bit strange. I'm going to follow up on it.

    Hope everyone is well.

  • Morning All :)

Thank you for the good luck. We set off bright and early (my friend and I) and got there in good time. The place was HUGE and the people sitting the exam with us, on first view, were very intimidating. They all had their full showing kit on, which was not needed for Stage 1, whereas we didn't! No one seemed bothered though.

We did the ridden, practical and theory elements. It was a fabulous day and I hope to god I've passed. The riding element was the hardest part as I couldn't sustain my light seat. I hope I managed enough to get through though. I should know in 10 days. Watch this space.

Money is all over the place. This is because of fuel used to the exam, but I now have a full tank so I hope it will last me for 2 weeks but that is stretching it! The house too is all over the place as it didn't have it's Wednesday tidy through. It's as if the elves have been in making a mess! So I must restore the order there and get some washing taken care of.

It's going to be a really busy night tonight. I need to cook tea and get to school for 4:50 as it's parents evening then go to yard, ride 2 and jobs for 2, then back and work on 2nd job if I hopefully get a shift. I also have a meeting to attend 9-10 on the day job so by the time I get everything done it will be a late one. The thing is, my eyes are heavy already!!!!

I'm going to check my accounts and see where I'm at but first, cup of tea.

  • In my current tired state I can not make head nor tale of my accounts! Basically I have a lot of items waiting to be processed and not entirely sure I have enough cash to cover everything that will be needed before next pay on 25th!!! It'll all work out of course, but not today.

I do think Nov and Dec's pay won't have any overpayments though. I need to be sensible and if there's anything left, then I will pay it after everything's gone through.
