Best of luck with the job!!! Sounds interesting!
I merrily seem to waste a tonne of time sat pondering debt-freeness... as though staring at spreadsheets will somehow magic the numbers down. Still, embrace the level of focus- I know for a fact that when I stop thinking about it all the time, that's when I start to let things slip!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

I am EXACTLY the same. The more I look at the spreadsheet, the more it's on my mind (23.5 hours a day) in a good way though and the more I dream (usually in the shower, my only free time!) and then the more I want it
Off to start the job - I have a 30 minute file in - let's see how many hours it takes me lol. Thanks for the luckDebt - CCV £3792

Happy Friday everyone!!!
Well it's pay day but as it's a day early with being a weekend, there's very little I can do. My CC statement hasn't been produced yet either so waiting for that. I have paid £195.92 to it this month which is an overpayment of £107.13 now that i have my figures correct.
I've paid £94.99 to the other CC which is now going down in payments each month as on low (1%) rate.
Loan wise I've paid standard DD of £663.96. So this month has seen me throw £954.87 to debtbut also
Imagine what I could do with that money when we have our own farm!
No more payments until Monday now. I'm going to menu plan for a frugal month and not go home on lunch times still to save on fuel.
Last night saw me do my first shift which I got a 30 minute file for. I won't lie, it wasn't easy and I'm nervous as to the feedback I will get. I know it will get easier and I will get better. I'll just have to take all feedback on board and take whatever time I need next time. I finished at 12:30 this morning for this one meaning I was shattered this morning.
Any tips on getting up on a morning anyone?Debt - CCV £3792

I can lend you my 5 year old if you like? He has taken to waking our entire household at 5am every morning
Well done on the debt busting this month. You are definitely looking at it the right way- all that money freed up after everything is paid off!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

I have a small black spaniel who would be delighted to come and bounce on you when the alarm clock goes off and give you a good face-washing in the process!
I used to have a cat who worked out that the best way to get me out of bed to feed her in the morning was to sit on my stomach with her back towards me and knead my bladder with her front paws. Very effective....0 -
My dog is in the kitchen overnight with a child gate on, but there's a thought! We have all the room door's closed now so no reason to have the child gate and he can come wake me up when he's ready! I might regret saying that!
The cat/bladder scenario gave me a giggle!
Well this morning I've finally done a job I've been putting off for ages and typically, it wasn't that bad after all! There's another one which I've been putting off too so I'm going to tackle that now.
2 xmas presents purchased over lunch with 20% off at M&S so saved £11.50. They are main gifts too so I am pleased with that.Debt - CCV £3792

Happy Monday everyone!
Thanks Pink - It was eventful to say the least but we ended up enjoying it
It's a 4 day week for me which is fab - then will spend all day at the yard on Fridayeven better.
So it was pay day on Saturday meaning I was paid Friday and most payments are processed now so I have updated my signature. I'm pleased to see that since I started getting my act together a few months ago but and moved everything to 0% that wasn't consolidated into the loans, my debt is coming down quickly. Obviously not as quickly as I'd like, being the most impatient person ever!
OK so I have 1064 days until DF which is 35 pay days or 2 years 10 month left, however you prefer to digest it
This month however is going to be a huge test for me. It's a spendy month for xmas gifts and winter livery for the horses. My grocery budget has had to be cut meaning I've £185 to spend until pay day of which I've spent £45 ish. I have £25 cash as emergency too. I need a pair of gaitors for the BHS exam which is on the 12th and that's also going to be expensive as need fuel for that.
I'm still waiting for feedback on my work from Thursday so keeping an eye out for that and also hoping to get some more work this week as put myself down for 2 shifts.

Could you perhaps borrow a pair of gaiters from someone for the exam?
You have reminded me, I need to get cracking on some meal planning for the week and drag the children out food shopping... that'll be fun
Good luck with the frugal month, I really need to start thinking about Christmas presents too, think I am slightly in Christmas denial!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061
