  • I am struggling to get motivated today, I seem to be having one of those days where anything other than what I should be doing is more interesting. Also, I am freezing again at work!

I sent an email to 2nd job asking about an invoice and waiting to hear back from that but I have an idea of how much I will be paid so that is good. I am going to keep this pay towards Xmas as it's sensible to do so and then maybe the same next month but we will see. Every 2nd job payment from 2015 will be allocated to overpaying.

    Good morning everyone :)

Another day is upon us and a long one it shall be, but that's how I pay these pesky bills. So far this morning I have managed to make 2 packed lunches, feed dog and chickens, oh and kids and myself, pack to kids to school, get myself to work, order a xmas gift for DD and stay warm ish (the latter is a big deal at my place of work).

Lots of tasks for the rest of the day - work wise, and I'll be hoping to see a juicy file drop in for tonight's 2nd job work.

Had an interesting night last night, I use the word loosely. There's a new livery at the yard who is a spoilt brat (not being mean) and she rides her horse like it too, she's young and her Mam won't say boo to a goose. This meant that when she becamse dangerous in her riding (she has zero control over her pony, he knows it, he wanted his tea, you get the jist) whilst my DD was riding in the same arena, I had to intervene which resulted in me speaking my mind to both of them. I don't regret it one bit, but it did put a downer on the night. The most annoying part is, they don't accept advice (been going on for maybe 2 months now).

Anyway, a new day and new thoughts.

It's VERY chilly here today, we've had our first frost which means tonight I shall be digging out the hats, scarves and gloves for the kids for school and me travelling to work. The fire was still on this morning and it kept the house nicely balanced, therefore I've still not had to use the CH which I'm grateful for as it's keeping my costs down.

Additionally, we need to go through the kids clothes as many of them are too small now. They aren't worth much and the school are needing some spares so I shall send those in to school.

Half way through my long day. I'm flagging a bit now actually so think I will get a cuppa and take 5. I've not had an audio file assigned for tonight yet so I hope they get me one soon. I've got plenty to be getting on with otherwise but need the extra money from the audio's so fingers crossed.

I did thank you. 1 worked in my favour (twice, more than 4 speakers plus poor audio) and the other didn't so I'm fine with that. Last night I did 2 files as I took some of the urgent work on that was sent out so will work out what that is as there was a bit extra in it if you saw the email? I must admit, my left forearm was giving in to carpel tunnel a bit last night.

    Good Morning diary land :)

Considering I was up very late and very early this morning the get the above work finished, I feel happy as a pig in you know what. I'm refreshed from my shower and even managed to wash my hair this morning after submitting my work. I'm happy and raring to go. The kids were good, which makes a huge difference and I'm not working tonight for either role. I managed to make the packed lunches and leave the house in a reasonable state :o compared to a mess  and due to the kids school club opening slightly earlier, I am in work early and before most. So yes, a good morning.

I don't need to go to Ald1 to do my midweek shop today as we've still got plenty in. I've got chicken out for tea just to put with some rice or pasta, nothing fancy and I'll get the horses tucked in nice and early and lock up before the local idiots set loose with fireworks! We are going to a display, but a professional one, not just daft kids with too many options. When we have the farm, we'll stay at home with the horses. Tonight, the yard owner is on site so they should take care of anything that crops up. I still might do a drive by afterwards, just to make sure.

I must also do the mid-week tidy up. There's ironing that needs sorting and another load of washing to do, will sweep up and give a general dust round.

    Take care all :)

  • You are on a roll!!!!! :j

Hope the horses were ok with the fireworks! Didn't seem to be too many going off around here last night, I wonder if most people are planning their bonfire night celebrations for the weekend.

    Good evening everyone :)

I hope everyone is find and dandy. We went to a fireworks display last night and really enjoyed it. Checked on the horses afterwards and they were totally fine so that's good. A good thing about where we are now is it's all undercover.

Today has been very strange. I was working the later shift (still am) but the technology isn't working on their side so it was called off. Just as well as I feel a bit rough. I've had a hot bath as I'm aching and feel a bit run down. This morning I did some 2nd job work and got that in on time. I've also questioned some comments on my review from Tuesday as I don't wholly agree with them, obviously I worded it so that it's to tak learning from etc and that I wanted clarity. So I await their reply. It makes no different to what I get paid, but when I do a job, I like to do it well and understand if and where I went wrong.

I've also applied for a 3rd job, crazy of course. It's in a bit of a panic as DH has offered to pay off the loan of mine that he knows about in order to allow us to have a farm sooner (early next year). The problem is, as some may or may not know and I'm not asking for judgement, that he only knows about my car loan - 10k ish, so the rest is in with it and paid off in the same time frame that I have planned, just he doesn't know the total. So I am in a right pickle/

Anyway, seen as pennies make pounds, I've managed to snag another £5 from swags so have withdrawn that and will send to CCV as soon as it's out. Invoice for 2nd job hopefully will be paid by 14th and that too will be sent over. Also I may raid my emergency jar as I am in an emergency - the farrier needs paying and I have no money. The 3rd job is similar to 2nd and I've sent some applications off. One is for report writing for £100 a report. Who knows, watch this space. Who needs sleep, right?

  • No judgement, just a hug going in your direction. Fingers crossed for lots of lucrative work coming your way :)
  • No judgement from me either... but please don't over stretch yourself too much DF!!! No amount of money is worth running yourself in the ground for!! Would hate to see you end up making yourself really unwell :(

What do you think your DHs reaction would be if you confessed to the rest of the debt?

I was sort of in your DHs position a few years back and although I was shocked and upset initially it has made such a difference helping us move forward, we are so much stronger working as a team and manage money so much better together now. Wish I had known sooner.

    Take care of yourself! xx
