  • You sound like you've got the bit between your teeth :) I feel exactly the same about that job, funny isn't it?? Very good to see in the weekly report that they're going to sort out a rate rise for the new year - unless they sort out the proofreading rate at the same time, I am DEFINITELY going back to typing!!
  • £3.50 is a bargain for a clear round! Do they hold the jumping at the yard you are at?

Nice to see you as focused as ever! Make sure you have some FUN and proper down time over Christmas too! x

  • Happy Monday everyone.

The yard I am on holds it's own SJ comps pink, so I don't have far to go :D Just as well as the big girl will not box. It ook us 3 hours last time, both sides of the journey!!!

Indeed Caz, full steam ahead!!! It's bl00dy hard work though lol.

I've taken on a gigantic task for Job #2 which I am finishing tonight, but although I've had a few days to break it down, it's still been a mammoth of a job and I'm not done yet! It is for a slightly higher rate which I am grateful for as it's trying to get the better of me. I actually have sore parts on my fingers from typing! So tonight I cannot dilly-dally around at the yard. Thankfully there's only the pony to do tonight which will be a welcome relief (I've been doing 5 over the weekend!) and we should be turned around in good time, so I can get home and get back on with it.

Tea is in the slow cooker, I just need to put some veg with it.

Then tomorrow is pay day - so I have sorted my accounts, the balance in both is pretty damn near zero so this coming month needs to be very well managed. The extra pennies will be very welcome from Job 2. They won't be going to debt this month as mentioned before.

So then end of November money wise and the start of December. December's pay will come early so it might just work out ok!

  • Hope you got the job sorted, and in time to get some decent sleep too!

  • It's pay day!!!

What a night. I struggled big time with getting the work done as other things came up that I couldn't avoid and then I was stuck with agony in my face (toothache) meaning I had to get my head down taking pain killers and then finish it this morning. Therefore the work (Job 2) was a bit late, I did email ahead of time (1:30am when said pain struck whilst I was working on it) and say the file was coming but later so I hope it's ok. Next time I get a big file, I will break it down into a plan, live and learn.

Tooth is still giving me hassle but my face feels attached to my head at least.

Barclays just rang me and fobbed me off with my bank charge claim but I couldn't talk as at work so they are sending it in writing. Short story - i'm getting nothing!

Lots to do on the day job and I don't know if I will get a file in tonight, if not I am having an early night.

Right, happy new month! Let's see where I am at money wise.

  • Good morning world.

Want to know a secret? Last night, I did, NOTHING. I watched TV - and laid on the sofa. DS had been sent home from school unwell meaning I obviously was looking after him. I felt rotten myself so I caught up on some rest and I am very pleased I did.

Today DS is still off though he is ok. School are fussy though, so he is having a DVD day and I am working from home. I much prefer that anyway, to going into the office and I will get plenty done as always.

I'm trying to get back on balance with my money and have made a couple more payments so nothing else is due out from the screw up from last month. I'm going to try and deal in cash and no chq's until the New Year.

Right, nothing else to report so I shall get on with work.:(

  • Good Morning world :)

Well what an interesting piece of work I had last night - I would like more of those! I'm contracted not to talk about the subject but I shall just say the content made the time taken so much more enjoyable.

I need to get on top with the day job though, lots coming in and I'm just treading water.

Money is settled, hope to keep it that way too.

I hope everyone is well and ticking over. There's not a lot of debt busting at this time of the year for me so just keeping things turning slowly.

    Take care :)

  • Eeey I don't know if I said on here but I passed my exam - soo pleased.

I've just checked the gigantic file that I had on the other night and it hasn't been "marked", just sent on. I could see the file as it had been sent back and on comparing changes there were only 3. For 3h45 of audio that's blooming good going I think so I am feeling happier about that.

I am flaggin a bit this afternoon already so I looked on Z00pla for a bit of inspiration to what makes it all worthwhile.
