Lunch break! 3 loads of washing complete and drying, a 4th "rinse" wash has just finished (OH knocked a full cup of coffee over the table & rug last night and immediately grabbed tea-towels instead of microfibre cloths  ) 2 left to go. Decided to work on the school website - Had a flash of inspiration and it might just be going live at some point this week (although there will still be "Coming Soon" pages ;) )

Right, off to sort out this wash load and then I'm getting on with the website while my brain is in the right mood - kitchen can wait until later....oh must go and up-date my list

Heaving it down in bucketloads here. Doesn't really matter as I'm not going anywhere this afternoon and the washing is olready on the airer.

Pretty shattered after the gym, so I think I'm going to sort out some boxes in DS's room.

I'm back, had a hectic few weeks, but kept on top of the house, so back to full flying today, level 3 and it didnt take too long.
What I am most grateful for is that having got ontop of the house, when everything went hectic, it was still managable, and I didnt feel like I was sinking into a rut again so thank you all.

Pigpen - you have accidentally done Level One today!

TBH, I am counting the spilling @ 20 litres of water over kitchen floor and having to clear it all up last night towards my Level One today.

Is there any major damage, Pigpen? We used to regularly get drains backing into our kitchen and it completely trashed the bottom of the sink unit (if I knew how to post pics, I would put up a picture of my sink unit for laughs!). Dehumidifiers are a real help. I would suggest just checking for any lurking pools of water.

Having said that, once the drain was sorted, the kitchen dried out great, and the problems really went away (apart from damage already done).

Bad news - start of Wimbledon which means rain for a fortnight.

So far today, emptied dehumidifiers. Erm....

To be fair, I have spent most of the morning trying to coax DS to eat lovely baby rice and having period pains. Hope for at least a half hearted flutter this afternoon.

Why is it that I cannot just clean something, I have to go mad and REALLY clean it. I have just spent over an hour cleaning the oven and before that an hour cleaning the washing machine and drawer. I even got a teaspoon out and covered it with a cloth to get into all the crevices. I now have a really clean washing machine and oven but the rest of the kitchen looks like a bombsite!
  • Just a quick update so i know where i am.
