Finished for today, although i may sneak off in the bath in a minute with the book i started on hols. I also want to re-read all the harry potter books before the new one is out. Especially now the house is regaining some order after all that marking before the hols.
Just watched Anthea (repeated tomorrow at 7pm) and me and DH were in stitches.
Kitchen has also just had a good sort as i have used a fair old bit of stuff today.
Wednesday 27/6:
[strike] Check weather report to see where floods are
If possible, pack baby bag and go to playgroup[/strike]going to take baby to clinic instead as he hasn't been for a month. Then i might have a clear road by Friday and go to that playgroup roof had leaked anyway so it was shut. Piglet now weighs 21Ib 14oz. My 4yo nephew only weighs 30 pounds, so perhaps i should stop feeding him
[strike]Deal with post[/strike]
[STRIKE]Make baby bottles[/STRIKE]
[strike]Relist stuff to sell on amazon[/strike]
[STRIKE]Make some baby meals[/STRIKE] some of our stew blended for him, will then make extra dinner tomorrow and blend some of that too
[strike]Wash at least 1 load of Charlie’s things[/strike] also did DH's cycling stuff as it was practically walking
Unpack rest of clean clothes
Wash my hair
Do some ironing (10 items at least)
[strike]Check airers/take off dry clothes/fold and put away[/strike]
Make a dentist appointment
Wrap friends baby pressie
[STRIKE]Make stew for dinner[/STRIKE]
[strike]Pay bills and check current account[/strike]
Make a shopping list for internet order
Make a meal plan for July
And in the time it has taken me to deal with here, DH is now in the bath. So i will do my list and then head upstairs anyway i think. Might not get my long soak, but i do want a bath of any length this evening.
pigpen also loving the shoes, but i go for comfort most of the time. I only have one pair of feet and they have to be kept good or i would struggle to stand all day at work.
Anyway, off to amend my list.
Michelle, x0 -
I watched Anthea, made some sort of sorbet
, and then did the ironing while watching Bones
Pigpen - love the shoes... pitty I live in trainers and 1 pair of black boots as I can't stand open toed shoes (guess it comes from my feet being stood on so often in the summer when I was little and made to wear sandles :rotfl: )
Off to bring the washing in, start descaling the iron and then BED with ironing in tow to be put away. See you all tomorrow :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Bath is finally free,

Poor lil_me, have you been tested for any of the colitis-style illnesses? My mum has ulcerative colitits and I can assure you that it's a very nasty one indeed. She started off very tired and lost loads of weight very quickly. She had lots of other painful and embarrassing symptoms too, but they're too much to mention this early in the am!
Gosh grannynise I sympathise totally. I think it's rude and that you should send out a letter stating so!
Solway, well done for sorting this month's finances, I think flying can be put on hold for that. I'm now very good at sweeping under my rugs (thanks to flying) and think I spotted my finances under there the other day! :rotfl:
Oh happyathome, cold baths are the worst, not at all relaxing. I hope that today gets off to a better start for you!
I'm thinking of the rest of you, but have run out of time, I'm afraid. The littles have just woken up, so I'm on the run to make breakfast. Take care all and have a good day!0 -
So glad it's friday, work has been busy with meeting after meeting after meeting, plus I'm trying to plan the next 3 months work for 4 people and deal with personnel issues. Someone remind me again why I wanted this promotion.
I got caught out on the forums being down last night, so I'm blaming that for why I hardly did anything as I couldn't look at my list.

Lil_me - how tough for you! I have to say I have similar problems but honestly believe that they are down to - yes - diet coke. Anti depressants I have been on have also had the same effect. Aspartame is a laxative, so if you are tucking into a lot of sugar free stuff it may make things worse
Right, yesterday DS pulled over the wastepaper bin again. He is just getting so mobile, he rolls around all over. It is terrifying. So I have bitten the bullet and the playpen has gone up. Unfortunately the only place where it will fit is DS's bedroom. So he is in the (huge) playpen, up there, away from me as I am typing this. Okay, it has a padded base and I have loaded it up with toys.
The idea is that when I am sitting or doing something in that room he can be on his playgym, watch TV and generally have fun. When I am flying or doing other things then he is in the playpen in the room with the baby monitor, the alarm bit I carry with me. This is encouraging because I will have to justify leaving him in the playpen, so I am likely to do proper concentration on flying when I do fly. He seems to like the playpen, has explored it, and is safe. I am listening to him on the monitor as I type. I am on a huge guilt trip.
Still, so far I have hung out one lot of washing (according to forecast short window of opportunity), emptied the dehumidifier and had a cup of tea.
Another momentous decision. If I go a whole month without ebay, I get a Franz teaspoon. If I go a whole week without diet coke (unheard of) then I get some really nice tea bags. If I go two weeks without diet coke then I get a nice tin to put the tea bags in (I will be checking the charity shops). Three weeks and I get a really nice mug (there are some inexpensive ones I fancy on the market) and a top up of tea bags. Four weeks and I get the book 'Pretty in Punk' which is a knitting book. I completely don't need it, I haven't raised a knitting needle in anger since DS was born and I cannot imagine me using it. But I do really want it, so it's a good incentive.
I have copied and pasted today's list, and I intend to do the lot!
Now, off to feed, change, cuddle and fuss DS.
HevAlways another chapter0
