    Good morning Money Spiders :j

Yesterday was a NSD for me bringing my total up to 11

I have a sealed pot that I put £2 coins into as well as the £5 I reward myself for a NSD so I know that I definitely have £55 in there :rotfl:

February 26th is going to be a really important milestone for our savings challenge. It is my DH's pay day and we should be able to move quite a bit of money over to our savings account.

March is going to be an exciting month too as we are going to call it 'March Madness' - we are going to sell as much as we can on ebay! Is anyone else up for the challenge?

Thanks for posting on my diary JoJoC - please let me know when you re-start your diary and I will follow you with interest. I think we must be related because when you said I was also a spender- I looked at my account, saw money and spent it, not considering any bills that were due out, or whether I actually needed the item. I jumped up and down :j and said that's me, that's me :rotfl:

How wonderful to have a one year old baby :D

My DD1 was 21 on Wednesday and today we are celebrating with a Dr Who party - I can't wait - my 4 lovely children all in the same place at the same time - quite a rarity.

So whatever you're doing, have a great weekend and.......

    Keep saving

Good job on the NSD! Every one of them is another big boost to get you towards your goal. It's sad, but I feel awesome when I've had a NSD!

I bet you can't wait until 26th! I'm counting down the days until 28th when I can divvy up all the money and allocate it to bills and see what we have left for saving. I'm getting a pay rise this month, it won't be much, but it's still better in my pocket so that'll be a nice wee but extra to save, whatever it may be.

I'm on a bit of a downer with eBay at the moment so I probably won't join you but I'll happily follow your eBay selling journey!

I don't have an online diary, sorry, just a spending diary in my hand bag. I should've been clearer! I tend to post in here, in WTBSE's saving from scratch diary and in the saving £12k in 2014 threads fairly regularly.

That's so funny that we had the same outlook on money and now we're reforming our ways! Hopefully we can join each other in savings heaven!

Have you got a short term savings goal?

I set my first proper short term go last night- I'm hoping to have £1400 in the bank by the end of February. I'm at just short of £950 now so I'm really hopeful that I can make it!

I hope your daughter has a lovely 21st. For my little sister's 21st a few years ago, my mum and I organised a surprise party in her house with a Harry Potter theme! It was fab, if I do say so myself. Haha

My husband is just back from working away for the weekend so we're having a family weekend. When the little one is up from his nap, we're going for a walk. As long as the rain stays off!!

    I'm dancing

I have had 2 NSD in a row (bringing my total up to 13), £10 into my 'pot of dreams' and a great indication that I'm changing from a shopaholic to a save aholic :j

The 26th is a big day for me next week. I will know how much money I can transfer into my savings so.....

    watch this space :D

My jaw hit the floor yesterday  when I heard on the news that Wayne Rooney has just signed a contract with Manchester United for £300,000 a WEEK for the next 5 years.

How can that be justified - it beggars belief in the current financial climate

    Woop woop- 14? That's fab!

Maybe I should start counting NSDs, then I can compete with myself month on month. Hmm...

Fired up by the lovely peeps over on the Frugal Living Challenge 2014 thread I have been putting some serious money saving practices into place and I hope to reap the benefits in the next couple of months.

Firstly today I have been awarded a refund of £252 for a DD that should have been stopped but was continued to be taken.

    Result

I have been keeping a spending diary since the 1st January 2014 and now I have taken the next exciting step....

I have started a free trial of YNAB - You Need A Budget :D

I have REALLY enjoyed setting it all up and I am definitely on course next month to save, save, save :rotfl:

    How are you all doing?
