Sounds like you're doing really well!!

Can I just ask, what's a YNAB? Confused...

I'm doing fairly well too- my total is now up at £1380 and we definitely have more scope for saving this month. Husband is STILL owed around £500 from homers that he's done so I'm itching to add that to the account as soon as he gets it! I'm just desperate to see the numbers creeping up!

Well done on the NSDs! Are you still saving £5 for every NSD? If so, that's £75 saved!

What a nice little bonus with the refund too!!
    CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

July debt total: £24,630.44 | New debt total: £18,316.34 | Total debt paid: £6,414.10 (26%)

:j Another NSD for me yesterday - my grand total is now 16 :j

I have posted this over on the Frugal Living Challenge 2014 thread but I feel this needs shouting about on all the threads I post on

    Enjoy!

    Tesco Fuel Save

With thanks to barafear799 over on PTS

Tescos are launching a new promotion tomorrow nationally having trialled it in Wales and Norwich.

Quote from barafear799 - training rec'd in Tesco at the weekend.
It was very much stressed that this is not a promotion but is ongoing and is costing Tesco a huge investment.

    So what is Fuel Save?

For every £50 you spend at Tesco, you’ll earn 2p off a litre of fuel when you fill up at a Tesco petrol filling station. Build up your savings over a number of shops, and you'll get an even bigger saving on your fuel

    So how does it accumulate?
Every shop counts, even the smallest ones. Anything from a pint of milk to a weekly shop can save you money on fuel. So if you spend £100, you’d get 4p a litre off, if you spend £150, you’d get 6p a litre off and so on. As long as you scan your Clubcard, each shop adds up to save you money on fuel. Your savings can also be combined over a number of shops so you can get an even bigger discount on your fuel – as much as 20p off a litre.

How is it different from other fuel offers?
Tesco Fuel Save isn't a one off offer; it's an ongoing scheme. Every shop you do can earn you savings, no matter how small.

    More info here

    http://www.tesco.com/fuelsave/

For those of us that buy 3V cards for 150 points, this is a no brainer as we will not only get 150 clubcard points but also 2p off a litre too.

With careful planning, I can see myself buying a minimum of £500 of 3V cards a month which will give me 20p off a litre of fuel AND 1500 points.

Will put it into my YNAB for budgeting

YNAB stands for You Need A Budget, here is the link

You get a free trial for 34 days and then it is $60 which I think will be money well spent :D.

It is really addictive, putting entries in daily but it has really helped me understand exactly where every penny is going and it has been a real eye opener .

As a result of YNAB we have already made big cutbacks which will equate into savings very soon :T

Another NSD yesterday bringing my total up to 17 and another £5 into my 'Pot Of Dreams' ..........and yes, I have a minimum of £85 in there but it is a pot that I will have to smash to find out exactly I have stashed away :rotfl:

I am so very pleased at how we are coping financially this month, I really feel we are getting our house in order :D

Great news - I had a NSD on Friday and another NSD today - my total is now up to 19

:j Every part of my body is crossed that we will be able to transfer £500 into our savings account on pay day. I'm not wishing my life away but I can't wait :j

It has taken three long months for the financial make over but slowly, slowly catchy monkey and this little monkey is squealing with delight

Great news this week - I have had 4 NSDs in a row bringing my grand total up to 22 which also means I have at least £110 in my 'pot of dreams' but I will be smashing it in July so I won't know my total until then

Looks like you're doing really well TM6!

Congrats on the NSDs and let us know how much you manage to save when you get paid.

YNAB sounds interesting- might take a look tomorrow when my little boy is napping. Every little helps!

I find NSD a real incentive to saving. By rewarding myself with £5 for each one, it has really helped my to break those pangs to spend, spend, spend.

I now want to save, save, save! :rotfl:

YNAB has been a real eye opener to me as to my spending habits

Even though I keep a daily money diary, I wasn't seeing just how much it all added up. Only then did I think, why am I spending so much on xxxx.

It has REALLY made me think twice about how I spend my money and on what. Hence this month I will be able to save a considerable amount for the first time this year

It's been a while since I last posted but I have been really busy squirrelling away money....

At last I have savings  Ok, not a massive amount but savings non the less - £580

One of the ways that I have been saving is by walking locally rather than jumping in the car. It is amazing how the miles have been adding up. I have also been on a weight management course for the past 12 weeks and the good news is ..... I've lost 1 stone 1 lbs

My fit and frugal regime has been really good but keeping the momentum going is going to be difficult.

I've had a few unnecessary spends on ebay when the spending monster has gobbled me up :rotfl:

I need to re-focus and get back in the zone...wish me luck!

    I'll sign off now with....

    Keep Saving!
