Thanks honey, I'm never going to get £300 before Friday but I'm going to start PAD again so hopefully get a few more £££ paid off!
You're doing fab too - only £400 to go! I'll need to come and catch up with your diary to see how you're doing.
I have had a bit of an eventful weekend where money is concerned. Hubby and I both received offer letters for PPI claims from TSB, mine from a credit card for £962 and hubbys for a loan and offering £4,300ish!! AMAZING!! We are over the moon with this, as its money we didn't know we had coming, I was anticipating a "Sorry, no" reply.
As we've been together 10 years and never been on holiday together, we're going to take a holiday out of the money of hubbys and the rest will be split between debt and a couple of projects hubby has had on the backburner. We're making good progress with the debts, so this will just give us a safety cushion and if we fall short of the £888 each month, then we'll have a little bit of a nest egg to fall back on. We'll still be on target for paying off everything by next year, so I'm happy!
Also waiting for a response to another claim I had, but it was submitted slightly later, so I think 31st is the deadline for the response to that one. I should have my student loan overpayment refund in the bank this week too - so its a good week to start PAD!
Need to post three ebay items tomorrow so will need to go get them ready, actually I could do a payment from the earlier items I posted, (£13) and then what I have for these three items too..... off to count it up!

Hi Diaryland,
Thought I would do a quick post seeing as I have decided to start PAD'ing again! I must admit it feels great knowing that we now only have 2 debts - freedom is in sight!!
Have paid £23 off the tesco card, meaning we are now at 60% of this months total. Depending on how much of a refund I get from the student loan, I might just make my £888 target this month by the skin of my teeth! Trying not to get my hopes up though, will have to wait and see.
Have 3 ebay items that are still to be paid, so hopefully get those tomorrow. PAD's are looking like they're coming from the following this week:
Monday: £23 from Ebay sales over last week and weekend
Tuesday: Ebay items still to be paid
Wednesday: Change from food shopping
Thursday: Anything spare in Bank account
Friday: Student Loan refund

Well done on the PPI that amazing news!!!I would do the same regarding going on holiday. When you have windfalls like that you have to treat yourself.
Ebay looks like its going nicely too. Good luck on PAD's!!! You sound so motivated!!!

Thank you crunchy. I think a break would do us all good and would be something to look forward to.
I've had my letter regarding the student loan refund and its only for £114, which is a little less than I was expecting. I had accounted £100 to go into the joint account so the £14 surplus will be going off the tesco card... as tesco ads always say, every little helps!

Good Morning Diaryland,
Just a quick update with todays PAD. I have paid £16 off the credit card, £8.00 from ebay and £8 odd that was in my bank account so thats rounded down to an even number.
Have some bigger things to list for sale so hopefully get that done today and get some more off this card by the end of the month!

Great news regarding your ppi refund. :j
Any idea where you would like to go on holiday? Keep up the extra payments and you'll be debt free before you know it! :money:0 -
Hi New me! Thanks for the congrats, we are really pleased as it was unexpected. I think we'll probably go somewhere in Europe, I'm not a massive fan of travel so somewhere no more than a few hours on a plane will be far enough!
Hoping these daily payments mount up nice and quick and our DFD comes closer quicker
Have just realised that I only have 3 days childcare next week and not 4 so will pay the childminders day rate off the debts, it was accounted for anyway so will be an extra payment.
Off to list some items for sale on my location fb selling page, so hopefully they go.

Morning Diary,
Daily update with my PAD - hope this isn't going to get boring! Have paid off £15.09 off the credit card today, £14 from the surplus from the SL refund, and 1.09 to round the card down to a round number. Its now sitting at £7,120 - so not too much longer until we move from £7,xxx to £6,xxx! I love it when the balance comes down on a debt from one thousand to the next. :j
Anyway, I am working later this morning and have a LOAD of non-work stuff to do, so best get on with it before I run out of time!

I missed your PPI claim news!! Woohoo - how fantastic is that!
You must be so chuffed. I have wondered about checking to see if I was due anything but I didn't really know where to start as I have NO information about the particular loan which was many years ago!
I hope the PAD works out for you!

Hi Diaryland, and welcome back OF! Have had the weekend off from MSE, but am back! I think I'll stick to PAD Monday to Friday, I find it difficult over the weekend when I'm trying to catch up with other things!
So didn't quite make the £888 target for October which is okay, as I didn't think I would. I'm happy with 64% of it, its better than I thought I would get.
Off to a great start this month because of the PPI refund. Although mine was only £900 I have divided it up already, put a little cushion in the joint account and made some payments. I'm happy happy happy that I will smash the £888 target for November because I have had this extra money. I've also budgeted £400 from my November pay for Christmas but we may dip into hubbys PPI money if we need to.
Anyway, my update for November is as follows, can't wait to get over the £888 mark this month!!
