Summer holidays - are you planning one for 2014?

We've just had a few days in Bruges (our third visit there) immediately before Christmas. Between that and some big changes coming for us in the next few months, we don't have any plans for this year. We do want to go back to Bruges in Spring (the only season we haven't visited in yet!) at some point and we'd love to go to the South of France, but our next holiday is more likely to be a few days away somewhere in the UK, possibly coastal - maybe Cornwall, we liked it when we had a weekend there a few years ago. It'll be tricky though as we have a cat and although we have a willing in-house cat-sitter, she tends to extend her stay beyond what we agree (a week turned into 3 months once!), and it causes tension and additional expense.Cashback / Freebie Sites I Use:

Portugal in June for 2 weeks, my daughter is getting married there so we decided to make it into our family holiday. I have booked a Villa with a pool for the 2 weeks, which has been quite expensive but I think it will be worth it . 0 . 0

We loved Thailand, the people, the history, the food. We stayed in Bangkok for 7 days playing tourists, then 11 days by the beach just chilling which is not normally our thing but was much needed after the city.
May was very humid as start of the rainy season, so Although I would go again it would be at another time of year.
My recommendations would be to try the street food, barter if doing any shopping and don't laugh find a laundry. We had almost all of our clothes washed and ironed for £10, brought home in cases, unpacked and put away:T
I will definitely be trying to get the laundry done as we get back on the Tuesday morning and are moving on the Saturday

It's taken me nearly 18 months to save up and pay for it :j We will probably do a week in Kent in summer as that's where the in-laws live, went last summer and had glorious weather. All we have to pay for is petrol to get down there and then whatever trips out we want but his mum saves her Tesco vouchers for us to help with that too.
Good weather down here?! It probably happened when I was on holiday :rotfl:

            Hi all,
This time of year, peoples thoughts are turning to booking their summer holidays, if lucky enough to be able to afford one.
We haven't been away for four years as have been saving for a house deposit - we have just managed to reach the light at the end of the tunnel, and we are on track to reach our goal in the first quarter of 2014. We have decided to treat ourselves to a little mini break within the UK, probably Cornwall, we LOVE Cornwall area - late summer. Which we are very excited about
Is anyone else planning / booked a holiday this year?
Sun holidays £9.50 offer has just started up again. Worth looking into for a cheap UK short break?Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Didn't get away last year so hoping we can afford to get away this year, maybe to Lanzarote again as it's the cheapest ATM. We usually book with Thomas Cook or Direct holidays, but won't be this year as they're just far too expensive!
Have been pricing around some cheaper holiday sites, but am dubious about them as I don't know anyone who has traveled with them before, so not sure what to doPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0
