Off to Budapest in the morning. Got Boston, Florida, NYC booked for April. Nothing booked further than that as we are trying to conceive. First time since being together that we don't have a summer holiday planned!

What a coincidence, my husband also left on the 2nd for Budapest, he's coming home tonight having never been before. He's visiting a friend and thought it was beautiful, I'm getting pictures through as I type. I love the look of the high ceilinged buildings, hope you've enjoyed it.

Off to Mexico for two weeks in March, Ibiza (of course!) for two weeks in June (this will be my 18th visit) and the biggie in September when we are going to Australia for four weeks to visit my youngest son who emigrated to Brisbane a couple of years ago. We are making this a holiday of a lifetime though and travelling around Australia, as well as a two night stop in Singapore on the way back. I'm not the sort of person who is interested in acquiring 'stuff' so travel and holidays is what I spend my money on, and long may it continue!

We went to Thailand for our honeymoon last year - where are you going?

We are staying in Khao Lak for the duration although I have booked a couple of nights in a tree house in Khao Sok. If we'd had longer I would have liked to do more exploring but I'd run out of leave so we had to make it a shorted trip!

Did you enjoy Thailand? I'm not sure what to expect but I think it will be an adventure :D

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

EDIT: We're going to have a week in a cottage in Shropshire in August. Luxury place with hot tub etc - going to meet up for the first time with longterm friends from the internet. I've got a hideous year ahead of me workwise so I need something to look forward to. We haven't had a holiday together since 2006 because DH is a teacher and I can never get time off during school holidays, so I've arranged it early this year.

Sounds lovely Shropshire is a lovely part of the country and there is so much to see and do xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

We loved Thailand, the people, the history, the food. We stayed in Bangkok for 7 days playing tourists, then 11 days by the beach just chilling which is not normally our thing but was much needed after the city.

May was very humid as start of the rainy season, so Although I would go again it would be at another time of year.

My recommendations would be to try the street food, barter if doing any shopping and don't laugh find a laundry. We had almost all of our clothes washed and ironed for £10, brought home in cases, unpacked and put away:T

Two week cruise to Svalbard in July. Last year we went to Tenerife and son hated it, bored, too hot etc as he will be 17 this year and unlikely to travel on holiday with us for much longer decided to splash out and do something he always wanted to.

Also week in South Wales in April, family locally and going to visit Cardiff as one of son's potential university destinations. The place we are staying looks great with swimming pool, games room and a riding school - promised daughter a couple of riding lessons.

Also got a week booked off work in October but no plans yet. Last year had the week booked then work arranged a conference in Romania for the week hopefully will get the time off this year

So e time ago I was told I could no longer fly because of my health problems. I've been feeling better and want to make this the year the neurologist tells me to renew my passport. :).
  • Off to Iceland in 3 weeks for OH's 30th which is a suprise for him and I can't wait!! It's taken me nearly 18 months to save up and pay for it :j We will probably do a week in Kent in summer as that's where the in-laws live, went last summer and had glorious weather. All we have to pay for is petrol to get down there and then whatever trips out we want but his mum saves her Tesco vouchers for us to help with that too.

Would like to go somewhere but not sure where. OH fancies returning to the place we went to in Majorca last year. I loved it too, but part of me wants to go somewhere different. Although having said that I also really want to return to California (he's never been).

Anywhere's good with me though, so long as I'm not at work lol. This is our first year with our cat so am a bit worried about leaving him. We've got offers of help and I'll know he'll be well looked after and spoiled but I'll miss him!
