So this week, due to a stroke of good fortune, I managed an extra £1000!
I really dithered about including it in this challenge as it was unexpected rather than 'found' money. However, it came about from HR messing up and basically having us work extra hours that we couldn't take time in leiu off for over the last 3 years so, in the end, I decided to look on it as overtime and not a winfall. Therefore, I'm counting it.
I'll be back to my regular bank account skim next week :)

Hello everyone, Im new to the forums and really like this thread!! I hope you wont mind if I tag along!

We are in the process of buying and selling so are working hard to make sure we have enough money for the fees etc, our new morgage will be a whopper, 185k! It was the mortgage free thread which brought my attention here.

We have a credit card with £1300 left on it and my husband has a car loan with £3600 left over the next three years.

Im not sure what I will overpay, mortgage, credit card or help hubby but Im overpaying into my savings weekly and at the end of the month I will decide which one!

I have skimmed my bank balance today and started with £4.76! Hopefully will remember to keep this up, super excited to feel in control of bigger finances!

    Thanks! Jodles:rotfl:
