Thanks FlacosFloozie! I've not quite come down to earth yet. I'm just so shocked & delighted. It will help loads with extra payments once I start in the autumn term.

Congratulations on the job Hope :T. Brilliant news!

£10 for me this week off Bcard. Was hoping for £50 but things are a bit tight this week as we've had DH's birthday, our anniversary and Fathers Day! £90 left to clear before the end of the month Xx

Thanks Jaxsmar :D. It's been a long hard slog (both financially and emotionally) as our LBM was enforced due to my DH having a severe brain injury from a motorcycle accident. Luckily (if you can call it that!), the bike was salvageable after the accident, so selling that helped pay a bit off the total. Otherwise, it's been a successful PPI reclaim, a £1k competition win and ebaying anything we don't need. We've tightened our belts as much as possible and any 'extra' cash goes to paying stuff off. I can't wait to be free!!!

    Hi Peeps,
shamefully been missing putting in my contribution into the thread. I have been busy chipping away but also getting into further mess. Bailing out my son again!!!! I really need to pack doing this in at our own expense. We have been making some headway with his management of his money so I am being hopeful of getting him sorted this year (forever the optimist).
Been lazy or hiding my head in the sand with my bank account with nationwide... anyway took the plunge upgraded my account and got a free o/d for 12months. There is now some breathing space.
Still throwing big chunks at the Virgin account. As I have subbed son and hubby for his van tax that walloped 700 onto it. I have cleared that this month but not done enough to get rid of the debt 0f 2k before 17th july. I am pretty much paying 500 pcm into there think I should take the hit now till its paid off??
When I add up how much we are paying monthly I despair just need to stay focussed for now.
The savings I did have - have gone towards the debt. I was beginning to feel quite good that I had managed to actually save. That's not the MSE way is it?
Well done PLMBL - what a trouper you are!!

Lancs it sounds like you are quite the trouper yourself! Well done on all you have achieved so far. Xx

My attention has now shifted to the next credit card to have it's 0% run out (in December). Total on there now stands at £1445 after I've paid £5 to it this morning as my extra payment this week. Bit skint as all the bills are due on on the 1st so can't afford anything more than that today.

Keep plodding everyone, we are half way through 2014!
