Next time, if you dont want opinion ask a direct question and leave out the details.

Most of my time is spent reading the motoring section which you will appreciate normally involves some detail and this in turn influenced my layout on this section.

But you're right, I only needed to ask if anyone knew the correct channel for grievances and this has now been addressed.

    Happy New Year.

Seeing I can walk into a shop, buy something then leave without managing to be so infuriated about having to do a simple task such as ask for a receipt if I require one that I then need to write about it on the internet there's not much to question really is there!

its not your shopping habits the op has issues with, nor a dare say your internet habits, his issues are apparently beyond your belief but yet you feel the need to relentlessly comment upon them.

I don't see the reason behind the theory with disagreeing with someone and then not apparently being able to say so.

To be fair I can see why it's an issue. Prices can vary so much in a store that quite a lot of customers want to check prices they have paid before they leave. It's not unreasonable to be able to do that and the way the OP is worded once the finish the transaction they aren't able to reprint (although I can't see that being possible so the person on till may not know how to)

On a PFS Till (now they use touch screens in expresses/metros the same) it used to say

you are able to have your say, nobody has said or implied otherwise. but what you haven't made clear in what part of the op's opening statement you disagree with, or is your disagreement with an/other/s postings, as you posted that it was beyond your belief and not that you disagreed with the op.
op only wants the right to have a receipt for his goods and was asking for the address to wright too is all.

I don't see where the op said they aren't allowed a receipt. That is exactly why I find complaining about such a trivial thing so petty.

nobody said he wasn't allowed one he just has to ask for it, which it now transpires to be petty, a big step down from beyond belief
