My OH says I'm a bit OCD about cleaning
I can't bear mess and dust, particularly not now we have a little person spending most of her time on the floor. I really, really want a cleaner and keeps begging OH for one - he says it's a waste of money and he'll rather do more around the house, but then he doesn't! When we move house, we are getting a cleaner (I will win this battle), as I'm knackered

Oh dear nickit, hope she's much better soon. I've heard Vicks on their feet with socks over the top helps.
Slightly odd question I think- does anyone have a recommendation for a very absorbent nappy? Last night he weed so much in between feeds that the nappies were thoroughly soaked and a little leaky, we're using asda little angels atm.
Don't think it's a size issue as the nappy comes up to his chest but is completely full from front to back and during the day I've tried to change him more frequently and when it's less full it doesn't leak but obviously at night I'm sleeping when he's sleeping and it doesn't disturb him, he still only wakes for a bottle but then I have to do a full change which he doesn't appreciate lol x
For a cheaper alternative to Pampers I found Aldi nappies fab .0 -

I do alot more hoovering since G has been on the move. Our carpet doesn't really show up the filth until you're down there playing and then eugh!
Thanks, thought it was wishful thinking that you might know tbh! We need someone who works in Sainsburys to give us the inside word

I'm so far behind!! Apologies that these replies are all about 3 days late...
Someone mentioned socks coming off/coming down (sorry can't remember who!) - have you heard of/tried 'Sock Ons'.. we got some in a stocking for Jack at Christmas, think they're maybe a couple of quid but they mean no socks have escaped yet so we've saved ourselves having to buy new socks!
katiechoc - for Sainsbury's 25% off TU clothing they tend to follow a pattern of having them on when there is a half term/bank holiday... so my guess would be around the w/c 17th Feb... (but I have no inside info on this, so please don't be mad if I'm wrong
!)
Teamlowe - I recommend Aldi nappies for being absorbent and non leaky as I've never (Jack's never...) leaked out yet and he tends to be quite a heavy wetter overnight (I only change for poo if I can help it). They're our disposable choice when we go away and there is no way we can wash reusables.
Bangton - I had the same problem with Jack, I never used to check if he was tucked in or not, used to do Houdini wees up his front and have his nappy stay dry as a bone!0 -
Ladies what snacks would you give a 10 month old?Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0
-
Snacks at 10 months we done fresh fruit, dried fruit, pancakes, fruit loaf like soreen, breadsticks or crackers with Philly, organix oaty bars, organix crisps things, yogurt, ice lollys made with rocks squash, dried cereal like puffed wheats/Cheerios.
Hope that helps. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
T has 1/2 an apple as his snack. If we're out normally a cream cracker

Why is it when you think you're having a good day it all goes down hill? T has spent about 30mins crying (loudly, but no tears. Grrrrr) for no obvious reason, not hungry (bf or food), not tired (well not enough to go to sleep again despite my best efforts), not nappy, don't even think it's teeth. Went to play in a different room and it seemed to make it a bit better. Think he's just not stimulated enough by me at home (even though we'd done swimming this morning) and I'm just too tired to think up something new. I have no more energy, after 9 months, I'm done. He has about 50 mins naps in the day, in total and inevitably he's in the car or pushchair for atleast a third of that, going somewhere, or coming back. The rest of the time just needs constant attention, the lounge used to be fairly safe for him to mooch, but now chews the sofa arm, or in any room bites the gloss paint off the skirting boards, which I obviously have to stick with him all the time so he doesn't. He's currently in his cot, with a toy that has lasted him 10 mins, but even then I'm day right next to it and have to keep saving him when he falls back from standing up on the sides so he doesn't bang his head..... Now the cots done, he's screaming to get out again. At least he's not alone as I'm crying too now....
Sorry to moan

Hello all
I struggle keep up with the forum these days, never have chance to fire up my old laptop and its a bit difficult to read on my phone
anyhow...
Re:Weightloss - I lost quite a bit once little miss was born, however since I am not BFing and have been confined to the house with sick kids I've not been going for the daily walks I was managing. I keep missing meals then end up eating biscuits before I collapse which really isnt a good idea. I have been doing pelvic tilts and pelvic floor exercises though every morning and evening. I started reading about exercises to do after a c section and those 2 are as far as I have managed to read! I would say I am about the same size/ weight as pre-pregnancy (size 14) I am just a different shape and if I eat a big meal I suddenly look heavily pregnant again. Must do more exercise around the house!
I have ordered a pile of fruit from tescos so hopefully I will eat more of that than the tempting biscuits..
Re: clothes sizes - Little miss has been fairly spot on with clothes. She is in 0-3 months at age 10 weeks with a little leg room, there isnt alot if any spare room around her belly though :rotfl: takes after her mother there! Her clothes have been mainly Next as I love their stuff, although most of it has been second hand as it seems to wear/ wash well. The sleepsuits also seem to fit over washable nappies well (little lamb are fairly bulky). I have just started washing 3-6 month clothes as I am sure she will soon be in those.
Well done on the weightloss Delain that is amazing! I bet you look like a new woman!
Bangton your little man sounds very funny!
Kerri give your OH a kick before we all do!! 3 weeks post birth is far too soon to be doing lots of housework. I didn't do much at all for the first 6 weeks.
Nutella those Gap clothes are gorgeous! I really cannot buy little miss anymore clothes!
Cleaning wise we've been decluttering lots lately so less clutter seems to mean less mess (hopefully!) I try to keep ontop of downstairs as my son plays on the floor a lot so I run the hoover around every day or so and wash the floor when it needs it. Otherwise I just make sure I wash up/ load DW/ wipe surfaces/ tidy toys/ etc before I go to bed then just unloading DW/ washing bottles in the morning. I try to make sure I put everything back where it belongs, it normally goes wrong though! I really struggle keeping up with washing in this weather and putting washing away!
Hugs Lazywife xx its so hard having days like that. I think at that age I used to put my son in a travel cot and put lots of toys in there to occupy him so I could at least have a break.Trying to save for a deposit
