    When he was younger, it was alot more!!

    Now everything fits nicely into the free Boots Nappy bag, which to me has been one of my favourite freebies!! x

    Saf, been meaning to say that you were right about the mystery nappy with seahorse & elasticated waist - it did indeed come from Sainsbury's. We now have two large packs of them :T

    Hi!!

    Must admit i'm not a fan of the Sainsbury's nappies, i find them very stiff and hard. I'm a Little Angels buyer!! Its so weird how they all fit differently hey. I find that Pampers always come up a bit more snug than the rest. Tesco are my least favourite, they've split open on C during the night twice, gel going everywhere!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Happy new year mozzyc!
    We used the free Boots bag for a while as it fitted so nicely under the pram. I've always taken a small cross body bag for my stuff as it's just too much hassle to pull out the change bag whenever I need to get to my purse.
    We carry:
    *4 nappies
    *small sudocrem pot
    *small bath toy (for distracting T whilst changing)
    *wipes
    *some nappy bags
    *hand gel
    *** in a little plastic wallet to keep them together *****
    ~short sleeved vest
    ~long sleeved vest
    ~dungarees
    ~socks
    ~~~~~in another separate plastic wallet to keep them together~~~~~
    change mat
    muslinx2
    bib
    tissues
    bf cover (exclusively for use in v classy places, normally I just pop them out!)
    Teething ring
    Small bottle of water
    Seems alot, the separate plastic wallets (the packaging from my nursing bras) help to keep it sorted.
    Admittedly no bottles, that would take more space.
    You're right cd, for a longer day out, I'd maybe take more of a change, or leave a spare change in the car. It's not so convenient, but if LO has soiled 3 sets of clothes already, it's just not a convenient day!
    We do Boots nappies, they're ok, and I get staff discount so by far the cheapest.
    How had is it to ask employees on maternity leave if they'd like to come on the staff night out???
    Just seen on fb that my work is off to see grease (musical) tonight. Another colleague replied stating that some of us didn't get invited (yep she is also off on maternity leave).
    I would of jumped at the chance to go out as haven't been anywhere with friends without my LO since gosh LO was like 5 weeks old and that was a slow hour walk around a Christmas market and she's now approaching 16 weeks.
    Weirdly no text message was sent as my school uses this service to let people know just about everything. I got a text about the work Christmas do. I've been into school 4 times now to visit everyone and only just yesterday did I have a recorded message on my answering machine from my manager asking how everything was going.
    Just makes me so :mad: as it's surposed to be = contact from both parties. I'm going to mad all night now, thinking how I could of had a nice Friday night out and to top it off hubby walks in at 6pm and says neighbour has invited him out for drinks and they're leaving at 7pm....arghhhhhh
    Tonight is not a good night at all now.
    LO is in bed, so now to think of what to do myself for tea. As weird as it sounds I'm so peeved off right cannot be bothered to cook myself anything to eat.
    lazywife and Oscar Thank you for drawing my attention to regression. I had no idea!! We think lo is teething perhaps. He's had just 14oz of milk today and cried like a banshee so gave him calpol eventually tonight and he's taken 11oz in one go. He's been batting bottle away after just few ounces all day and then crying and crying. He has been dribbling and chewing hands all week as well as rubbing his ear but I didn't want to put it down to teething and start medicating him incorrectly but it's looking like it could be that now he's had a full bottle. Or it could be a regression and a coincidence but if it is teething I hope it settles soon as calpol States you have to use for only 3 days and the gel isn't very effective. Can anyone shed any light on how long teething usually lasts? Please don't say months.....Please!! Hope everyone else is well x
    Evening ladies :)
    Sorry I've not been about much but I have a stinking cold at the minute and have found this week a bit of a struggle.
    Anyway, on changing bags: I've used the free boots bag loads - it is plenty big enough for what I usually carry (5 nappies, pack of wipes, nappy bags, changing mat, long sleeve vest, short sleeve vest, trousers, top, tights, nappy cream, two muslins and a small toy for A; keys, pen, notepad, purse for me). I bf so no need for bottles.
    After a recommendation on here for my upcoming plane trip, I got a pacapod backpack for my birthday. I LOVE the pods and in my changer pod fit: 5 - 8 nappies, wipes, nappy bags, changing mat, long sleeve vest, short sleeve vest, trousers, top, tights, nappy cream. In the food pod (since we're weaning) I carry a drink for A (water in a sippy cup), snacks/meal, bib, wipes, nappy bags and have room to spare. Also plenty of space for all my bits in there and a couple of toys for A. I did find the backpack a little large for popping in my local shops, especially as I tend to wear LO, so I got the Almora for Christmas and find it really good for daily use and when we go walking, just swap the pods over :)
    On teething, A has two teeth that appeared beginning of December, however she didn't have any traditional "symptoms" of teething.
    continual, hugs! Work can be a right pain! I arranged to pop in to see some of them on Monday, and two of the staff who were expecting me barely said hallo because "it was very busy"; uh, I specifically arrived the time I did because it was the quietest time of the day! And they knew we were popping in.
    Have a thing with OH's family tomorrow and then need to properly get packing as we fly home next week. I'm really going to miss OH, but am so looking forward to being home - with a proper hot and sunny February :D
    Hope everyone has a good weekend
  • Ooooo I will keep my free boots changing bag then for when LO is older and perhaps don't need as much then.
    Bangton - My LO is teething, no signs of anything yet however she puts every toy that has any kind of plastic on it straight into her mouth and chops down on it. We've bought her some teething toys and she goes crazy biting down on it which results in her dribbling loads. I've bought a few packs of dribble bibs now. Sometimes now she bites down on the teat on the bottle.
    I had a very for me unexpected screaming match from her a few weeks ago now and it really scared me as never seen her sooo upset and then worked out why.
    Re nappies yes Sainsburys are rubbish. Just tried online shopping with them last week so thought I was a well try the nappies. They feel so I dunno rough I guess and feel like they can't be comfortable on.
    Going to stick with little angels from Asda as used them pretty much since day 1 after our freebie pampers ran out.
    We used the sainsburys nappies and got on fine with them, he still has them overnight now but we've got tesco for daytime - pull ups which is good for mr wriggles. It's like trying to fasten a nappy on a very energetic octopus! We used the Kiddicare own nappies til he was size 4 I think, by that size the sainsburys one seemed a bit less bulky.
    Hope everyone had a good night? G was up twice then up at 6.30. Not bad, wish I knew why though - he's not had milk in the night for nearly a year now, his nappy wasn't too wet, didn't seem cold...and he goes straight back off so why not just stay asleep?!
    Hope everyone has a nice Saturday :)
