I bled for 3 weeks, had 1 day off, then started my withdrawal bleed as I'd gone back on the mini-pill. I was not amused.DS - 08/15

Hi ladies
Is anyone still using this thread?
Baby girl Mia arrived on 4th July and we're just starting to emerge from our little bubble. How is everyone?
XxFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
It's not quite as active as the pregnancy thread because most mummies are busy with their babies but people usually reply eventually. Congratulations on your baby girl Mia. Lol I remember the bubble with fondness, I remember the midwife did a visit and chatted about the news...news?!? Does the world not know the most perfect princess in the world has been born!?! Lol. That's when I noticed I may have been in my own joyful world.0

Congratulations on your daughter euronorris
and yes, it is still used but babies can make mummies a little busy.
Saying that though, E is now 6 and a half months old and apart from that he's on the move, he is completely unlike A who slept for 20min a day (whilst I held her) until she was over a year - E naps for 3 hrs a day - usually 2 in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. And he does so in his cot/a mat on the floor so I have time to get on do bits round the house. Am currently redecorating the downstairs loo
We've just (a few weeks ago) started BLW with him but he is completely uninterested... a couple licks and straight onto the floor! Oh well, am sure he'll get there eventually
Hope that everyone else is well xx
We've come to quite a big decision - contractually I have to go back for 3 months after my mat leave, but will be handing in my notice during this time and resigning. I'm torn as love what I do, but it won't allow me the time with the children and once A starts school next year I will struggle to manage pickups etc. Luckily I will quite easily be able to get back into my job once they're a little older. It's also not financially viable having to pay for childcare for both of them0 -
Congrats euro on your dd! Hi saf, lovely to hear your update. Wow big change with resigning but can totally relate that time is so precious when they are wee. My ds will be going to school next year too. I'm going back to work in a few months and I can't even think about leaving dd in nursery even tho it's same as ds and she will be in good hands. We've been weaning for a few weeks too as she is 7mths and I've found it so stressful. She gags at everything! Pur!es, lumps, brocolli florets etc my ds was never like that. Gotta ride it out I suppose.
Hope everyone is well and still thinking of you sweetie xxMum of 2 :j0 -
Hi minimuffin; I know what you mean - I've registered and paid the first month's nursery fees for ds already and it's the same nursery that dd goes to, with all the same staff as when she started. He recognises some of the staff already as obviously comes with me to collect/ drop dd off but I really don't want him to go.
I think in part it is because I know he is our last so all his firsts are our lasts too.
After speaking to the health visitor yesterday and posting here in the afternoon (as his lack of of interest in food never mind actually eating it was making me paranoid as its just the opposite of dd) last night he demolished a rice cake, two slices of cucumber and a piece of tomato!0 -
Catherine is 13 weeks now and doing great. Can't believe how quickly time is going. She is such a content happy wee thing and a total joy to look after. We have been so lucky so far. Rarely cries, sleeps 10pm until 8am and just constantly wants to chat. I'm just wondering when it is all going to go wrong?
We are starting Sing and Sign classes this week and swimming lessons next month!0 -
Lol Toots, I'm still wondering when E is going to change as he put himself into a routine of a morning nap up to 2hrs long and ditto for the afternoon. He also WANTS to go to bed by 7:30pm and generally only has a couple wake ups for milk - so completely different to A!
Hope that sing and sign went well? And I love swimming with the kiddies!
If E didnt' have his morning nap routine, I'd love to take him to a baby group but his preferred nap time is 9:30 - 11:30 - right through the group.
It's not going to be long before E is off - he bum shuffles and yesterday started doing the backwards crawl so only a matter of weeks before he's properly on the move. Fortunately he's still chilled out otherwise I would be properly stressing out over my upcoming trip home with the kiddies, alone an 11hr international flight... it will be fine! I mean, how bad can travelling with a stroppy 3 year old and a baby be?0
