. How long would a sterilised bottle stay sterile so I could take an empty bottle out with me and just fill with ready to drink?

Until the second you take it out of the steriliser or open the steriliser if not a water one... so long as it is properly cleaned and there is no dirt for bacteria to grow on they will be fine.

Welcome kroberts! I'm the same, ds just loves his little sis and is constantly kissing her on the head and comes into our room in the morning to pet her on the head, so cute. Are you managing to get some naps while dd is asleep? I found the early days v difficult with having ds to entertain and a newbie to look after but things have settled now and dd is now 12weeks and will happily play on her mat while I enjoy a cuppa 🙂

My son is at school now so not too bad with running around after him. I don't tend to sleep in the daytime but have found myself drifting off for a nap sometimes for 10-15 mins. I think I've only managed to drink 2 hot drinks while still warm though

Hi ladies. So sorry to hear about your loss sweetie, was such a shock to read, I can only express my sorrow.

My ds is now 4months (tomorrow). He's just so wonderful and I'm loving having him. Helps that he's just started sleeping a little better (3-4 hours between feeds).

I've had some residual birth trauma and got a gynae appointment next week and will hopefully get something sorted then.

Have any of you ladies ttc whilst still breastfeeding?

I have.. mostly it failed miserably as AF didn't usually return until I stopped feeding or it has taken a year+ to return.. however.. I got pregnant very soon after Squeak.. 13 months between her and Dot.

I'm afraid it's another of those .. 'it'll happen when it does' kind of things and rushing it wont work

half of my children were conceived while I was breastfeeding.

Hello ladies. Came onto MSE for some advice and thought I'd pop my head into some of the old threads.

Sweeti, my heart is breaking for you, I don't even know what to say, I'm so sorry.

Baby no 2 arrived on 17th October, and was another pink one! O will be 3 in July which is just crazy. We've had a rocky few months and I expect it'll continue that way into the summer but new start in September as I'm going back to university :)

Hope the rest of you are all well xx

Thanks sparkles, I don't think anyone does. I'm heartbroken. I felt like the luckiest mum in the world for those healthy 3 weeks and for the last week just prayed everything would be ok. Still can't believe I'm going to have to live without her. On a day like today I just want to scoop her in my arms and then go for a nice walk with her pram. Instead I'm contemplating sorting out her things in her room. It just constantly runs around my head how this happened. Why me? Why my baby? She was so loved and desperately wanted.

Everything just reminds me of those happy feelings of being pregnant and holding my baby in my arms. It's lovely to have those amazing memories but I'm so sad those moments will never be again. My baby didn't deserve this.

Noone ever deserves this.. it's just wrong.

Have you looked at a memory bear or blanket made with your favourite bits of clothing?? TBH, I'd hang on to it all and just keep the door shut a bit longer.. getting rid of everything is a very big decision and a very big step to make, you need to be sure both you and hubby are ready.. and do it together.. and keep talking!!

    ((hugs )) xx

People have offered to do that but I think I'll keep the clothes whole. I will sort her clothes in 3 piles - 1st is the charity but this will be clothes I would never have put her in (kept because they are gifts but not my taste) or basic clothes that she didn't wear and easily replaced. 2nd is clothes she didn't get to wear but I would keep incase I ever get the chance to be a mummy to her brother or sister. 3rd are her clothes, she didn't get to wear many because we bought mostly 0-3 and they were a bit big so was still in newborn or up to 1month. I will keep her clothes and give a couple of special pieces to the grandparents.

Oh sweeti I still have no words. I really feel for you. :( I like your idea for her clothes, but I agree with pigpen that you shouldn't feel like you have to sort her room out right away. Do it when you feel ready to, you're perfectly entitled to keep everything in that room as it is for as long as you need it to be there.

Sending my love to you and your OH XXX
