Another vote from me IhateDida, nice to see you posting again , I have to admit I'm pretty intermittent, although do lurk quite alot. Sounds like a stressful time, at least your little one is in the safest hands at GOSH.
Congrats Laurabllue, enjoy all the snuggles you can.
Hoping for a better night here, as T was up every hour until 4am... then he slept till 8am (so it's not all bad) but can't slink off to bed yet as waiting for the washing to finish so I can drape it around the house and it will annoy me less if it dries over night... too rainy to put it outside to dry
L.xxx
Thank you Lazywife for both vote and comment about GOSH - yes, we couldn't be in safer hands :-) I have been building washing "hill" in our kitchen all week waiting for some dry weather but after realising that there were no more sleepsuits for LO to wear tonight I have succumbed to the tumble dryer....in MAY....and its still on now!!!! We need some sun! :-)0 -

happy birthday little Nutella!
Just been talking to my friend about trying to avoid cake, chocolate and sweet junk for my LO and she recommended this blog deliciously ella. It has recipes for making stuff that tastes like the naughty treats but is actually ok.0 -

Evening ladies, I've a question for those with older little ones.
Every evening when I put A in the bath, she either stands or squats and does a wee. She never hears or sees me running the bath, and I strip her and then stand her in the bath for her to sit down at which point she wees (so only her feet are ever wet at this point). At first I thought it was a fluke but she does it consistently, every evening.
I would like to instead try getting her used to doing this wee either in the toilet (using a training seat) or in a potty. She is still very young so I would sit her on it just before putting her into the bath - she will still be in nappies at all other times.
Anyway, OH thinks I should get a potty; I think a training seat for the toilet would be better as she has seen me using the toilet so I think would find it easier to understand than a potty. Any opinions based on your experience??0 -
Saf, we use a potty downstairs and a training seat on the toilet upstairs (we don't have a downstairs loo), and she happily uses both, although is more excited about the toilet - probably because, as you say, she sees me using it. The other advantage of using the toilet is that she can't just stand up and wander off/drip wee on the floor (sorry TMI)/knock the potty over.
We have this potty and this training seat - both brilliant.0 -
Ladies, thanks for all the birthday wishes
So strange to think that right now, two years ago, LO was one hour old!
We've had a lovely day - LO and I made pancakes and smoothies for breakfast, went swimming as usual, and we even let her have some ice cream0 -
We have both a potty and a training seat Saffagal. It's caused no confusion as the potty is used everywhere but the bathroom. You'll find your lo very flexible to where they 'go'. We got teddys to wee on the potty and had it in the living room for months before we seriously started potty training.
In fact the first thing that DS consistently wee'd in was a plastic toy boat! And at age 3 he still pee's in the bath/shower as he thinks it makes a good noise.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
