That is such a lovely thing to say, really, that means a lot. I tend to forget people who don't always post but who might read. I am chuffed, thank you XX

:D It's a pleasure. I hope you don't think I am some crazed stalker, but I wanted you to know that I do enjoy reading your diary. And I have impeccable taste when it comes to writing. ;)
I am much better now, having driven to a new place of work for a year. However the thought of driving at speed frightens me. I just about cope with 60 and ok at 40 or 50. Anything faster and I can't really do it very well, I don't feel safe. I don't feel I am capable.

My friends all say the same, it is easy you will get used to but I don't think I can explain it very well, I don't feel I was ever meant to drive! Let alone on a motorway!!

It's fair enough. And I shan't go on about it, as there is nothing worse than people telling you it will be fine when you are feeling the fear! All I shall say is that your post struck a chord with me. And I am working on the assumption that it is on your list because deep down, you think you CAN achieve this. I think you are capable, but YOU have to feel that, too.

Just remember that on a motorway although things are happening quickly, there are far fewer things to think about. No street furniture, pedestrians, roundabouts, etc. So as long as you look ahead and plan ahead, you'll be fine.
I haven't yet conquered motorways but it will take as long as it takes.

    Yes. And you will prevail.
yeah, I am going to give it a go on a Sunday nights, very late on the way back from one of my friends. I am very good at finding alternatives though- am the B road queen!

Good plan! Just do one junction if it gets too much. the first few times ARE scary, there is no denying it.

Just checking in to make sure you're sticking to your challenge Buffy. You've got way too many things on your list, could you not cut a few of them out and put them on your next 100 day challenge?

Glad you enjoyed the cinema. Mr SA wants to see Planet of the Apes but he can wait for the DVD.

  • Well I am sort of on track. Family row happened! so knocked me a bit but hey ho. People do not change (unless they want to) and so I have to wok around it all.

Which generally I can manage and since leaving my !!!!!! job I have more energy to deflect the negativity but today it did upset me. Which lead to me spending LOADS on the garden.

40 quid on edging, 20 quid on compost, 8 on stones, 20 on plants.

Although it is a little lame, I did save 60 on the edging - I ordered from Argos! 1/2 price.

Anyhow weather allowing I shall finish the beds tomorrow and put in the edging, do some pots and replanting.

The only other thing I need to do is walk the dogs. In theory Mum should be out for most of the day which is good as we need a break. Not exactly fun here right now.

Rest of list will be planned out after the weekend.

didn't do the rest of the garden but the patio looks good.

go away tomorrow for the night. need to get up tomorrow and wrap presents.

and finish getting my toiletries together.

Will write more on Sunday when my arms work properly again.
Love to everyone and SA hope the challenge is going well :) XXX

  • How do I not realise when your birthday is Beanie. tits. sorry. Happy Birthday xx

    so.................................................................

    ummmmmmmmmmmmmm..........................

    yeah...........................money........................credit card........

all a bit of a problem.

I think I have spent rather a lot on the CC, garden plus two weekends away = roughly 900 pounds.

Luckily most of it isn't due till the 9th October.
351.68 is due by the 9th September.

At this rate I am never going to be out of debt by the end of the year.

As well as my house savings of 1000 pounds I had 800 saved - this was actually for the summer but once I have savings sort of wanted to keep hold of them. Anyhow I spent 300 and may have to use the 500 left for this CC which is a bit crap. Well it isn't as I am very lucky to have the money. Am disappointed in myself for squandering money.

So now more than ever I need to keep the challenge up.

  • I jiggled my spending money and paid off 51.68 to the CC. I need to pay 300 by the 9th.

Obviously I have the savings so for this month to cover it but I shall give it a go re selling stuff to either pay the bill or make up the savings.
I need to wait till everything comes through on the CC to see how much I will need to pay in October. Mind you I will have had a full month's wages then.
